The concept learnt, theories and models are also outlined. It ends by giving conclusion of the reflective study 2.0 Introduction This paper discusses the reflective learning process of the project management skills, concept and theories. The paper is informative as it highlights major parts which we learnt through out the project. The hard skills learnt and soft skills. 3.0 Presentation parts Through out my presentation in class, I have been pleased with the marks which I have gotten since I got above average marks though it is not up to the set objectives which I initially aimed at. The team gave their best in the presentation outlined major detailed of their project. It was presented in a more simple and explicit manner which anyone could understand and appreciate. The group was applauded for there all inclusive work which they did and this simply signified the good work we did during presentation. There was proper planning throughout the process which helped us to deliver quality project, though some factors like time constrains limited our preparation, we could also not agree on some major parts of our presentations which delayed our rehearsal, otherwise the whole program went on smoothly as planned. 4.0 Lessons learnt We learnt several lessons during our presentation which includes continuous practicing to develop public confidence; time constrains also another factor which could not go unnoticed and the group will schedule earlier next time so that we could meet the deadline. The recommendations from the supervisors will be incorporated about work organization which should start with the introduction of group members, topic to be discussed, and then actual presentation and give a conclusion and recommendation of the study. Group work was just fantastic and amazing, with the group members, the work was simple and easier has each and every group member had a role to play. We divided the assignment into parts and each and every group member was assigned different parts of the project like I was to handle the project implementation part of the power project. The other members were to handle introduction, project design and other parts. After each member had discussed his or her part, we could convene together and discussed the whole project. This made our work not only easier but simple and enjoyable, so the group work was fantastic. 5.0 Contribution of other people The contribution of other people was just but amazing as they help me understand the work completely and more explicit, the areas which I could not understand by the end of group work I was able to understand them fully. The group members also help in finishing work in time as we were encouraging each other in times of difficulties and with team work, it was all well. The most successful experience of the discussion was the ability of bringing different schools of thought together so that we could come up with one document; this was so encouraging and helpful in, the presentation part was the most fantastic one as we could encourage one another. The discussion of the assignment and class work, it saves time and help one to fully understand the subject area fully. If given a chance again, then I would do the same in group work (Ma Huimin et al 2011). 6.0 Personal attributes The personal attributes of the group members were very important, this skills and attributes includes, skills, enthusiasm, technical skills, communication skills, self discipline, leadership skills, motivation among others were very important in the group development. The performance were so good as it was organized in accordance with Belbin theory that is team role theory in which each and every member was given equal opportunities to play a role. There performance can be grouped such that we have thinkers people who brainstorm the problem and came up with the solution, secondly we had task performance, after thinkers, there are those who perform the actual task within the group and lastly we had communicators people who are going to represent the task and pas the information to the rest. Diagrammatically we can present it as follows. Fig 1.0 7.0 Models and concept The operation management concept and models are very important as they could help us in future in terms of the management process. Some of the key important usefulness of operation models includes; helping to understand the needs of the customer hence can help in product design therefore meeting customer needs. By knowing the customer needs, we will be able to turn them into performance objective which later is translated into strategy (Kotler and Armstrong, 2009). The unit also as helps us to understand the role of operations functions which simply means the responsibility and task. The idea of task and role is very important as each and every one of us play a role in their daily life not only in the group work so the unit as been very crucial in helping to built the group members. Other concept in throughout the modules was very important as group work brings people with different background together. The theories like mass law of human wants, organization behaviour were very useful in building personal characteristics and modelling individual behaviour. Communication skills were also very useful throughout the project. Personally I contributed a lot in the group discussion following my technical skills in the project management. My leadership skills have helped the group to bring them together and help in the discussion and work organization. My valued skills include leadership skills, communications and technical skills which help the groups to build a strong organization, planning and time management through out the work. I am very happy with the contributions which I have made in the group has I had enough time to share my skills and knowledge with everyone freely (Kotler and Armstrong, 2009). I was so much successful in bringing the group together and leading the discussion and group organization. The project management process was so successful due to my good leadership. I am so happy with the contribution of everyone in the group. I could not be able to fully understand the whole project process hence I have failed to fully explain my part. Lack of some crucial technical knowledge has hinders my ability to explore the project. Poor communication skills have also hinders my progress Ma Huimin et al, . I would follow the same format of planning process which assisted me to complete the work in time hence my objectives. I would not spend less time in practicing communication skills as this really affected my speech delivery. 8.0 Learning out come Through out the group project and participation I have learnt much concerning the project management theory and skills. Queuing theory has been one of the most crucial theories which have learnt through out the study (Ackert and Deaves, 2010). The theory can help in solving problems like traffic jams in different countries, the theory can also help in management of lines in banks, cash pay points and many areas in computer programming. Cash flow management has also been very crucial topic concerning the management of project. Concept like net present value, future value of money and discounted cash flow has been very crucial concept in the study (Ackert and Deaves, 2010). Project management tools like garnnt charts, and part charts are very important tools in the project management process which I have learnt (Kotler and Armstrong, 2009).. Another area of important is the organization behavior and communication skills which have help in building good team work. Interpersonal skills and abilities we have learnt throughout the study are very crucial. Elements like patience, tolerance, kindness are goods attributed which we have learnt through out the study (Kotler and Armstrong, 2009). Research methodology skills, data collection are some of the new skills which have been learnt in the process. Data analysis skills and sampling skills are also key skills learnt. 9.0 Conclusion The group learning process has been so interesting and encouraging as many people have benefitted with the project management process.
