Name Course Lecturer Date Operational Plan Contribution to Organisational Performance Goals This project contributes significantly to organisational performance goals. Through the project, the organisation will provide an opportunity to older people to maintain and improve their fitness and health. This is the core goal and objective of this organisation. It seeks to help people to improve their health and fitness, this project helps this organisation in achieving this goal and therefore helps the organisation in achieving performance goal (Grisogono & Ryan 2007). Another way that this project contributes to the organisational performance goals is provision of individualized attention to the clients through fitness testing, health screening, personal training instructions, fitness evaluations and exercise programing. This project is a medium that the organisation will seek to provide this very important aspects to the clients. These are the main activities and aspects that this organisation provides to the clients. As such, the project contributes significantly to the organisational performance goals. Another way is that through this project, the organisation will offer weight and lifestyle management program to the clients. The 500 members included in this project will benefit very much with programs for managing their weight and lifestyle from the organisation not only for the duration of the project but even after the project. The organisation offers a variety of exercises according to the health and fitness level of the clients (Holsapple et al., 2005). The organisation hasprofessional and qualified fitness and health trainers for taking clients through their programs. The persons included in this project will benefit from the resources both human and equipment in ensuring in ensuring that they are healthy and fit as well. Tasks Involved in the Program There are various tasks involved in this fitness training in these centers. These tasks will be included in a comprehensive fitness program developed by the fitness trainer according to the various needs and aspects of the clients. The tasks will be tailored to an individual and will typically focus on specific skills, age and health related needs. These tasks are made to4 increase personal efficiency. The tasks include task specific training such as running, lifting weight from pallets, press ups, load lifting, breathing techniques during physical exertions, maintaining exertion level andaerobic training. Other tasks include pull ups, sit ups, pushups, shuttle runs and mile runs. These tasks will help the participants to increase their strength, muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance. This decreases the percentage of a person’s maximum utilization during job tasks. The Key Deliverables During the fitness and health program, there are number of different types of things that the organisation and the fitness trainers will deliverto the clients and participants. These are specific deliverables that will lead directly to positive participant’s outcomes. They will also add value to the coaching and training experience (Amon & Rouse 2012). These deliverables are perspective, validation, energy, message, plan, solution, resource, options, caring, challenge, feedback, strategy, training and advice. The organisation and the personal trainer are passionate about and totally committed to the success of this fitness and health program by the New South Wales government. This program will break the status quo, frustrations due to fatigue, reduce excess weight, make clients comfortable and importantly make the clients to sustain change (Morrissy et al., 2008). The Resources Required The one hour of training for the participants will put them on top of their fields within the six months period. The organisation have enough and the necessary resources to facilitate the fitness and health trainings. One of the most important resources required in this program are the personal training officers. They are the core resource and without them therecannot be meaningful fitness and health training (Kimball et al., 2008). They offer valuable advice and monitor the progress of every participant accordingly. They ensure that the clients follow the program and develop according to their health status. As such, they are very important resource. Other resources required in this program are training facilities and equipment. There are also financial resources required in order to finance the program, this is provided by the NSW government as the principle sponsor of this program for the 500 participants. The organisation is the provider of the equipment and facilities. In addition, there are skills and knowledge required to facilitate this program. The personal trainers must have the necessary skills and knowledge in fitness and heath training, more to that, they must have experience of more than five years to ensure that they are conversant with the training methods and programs in place. Lastly, time is an important resource as well. Although it has been allocated, the clients may not be able to be observing the time periods due to various reasons. It is important for the clients, the organisation and the personal trainers to ensure that they keep and observe time. Consultations To ensure that the program runs smoothly and consistently, a lot of consultations will be needed and therefore I will liaise with the office of the fit and healthy manager as well as the NSW government. The purpose of consulting with the NSW government is to ensure that the resource requirements are according to their specifications since they are the sponsor of this program. This is in line with the organizations motive and purpose of providing tailor made services to the clients. I will also consult with the manager of the organisation to ensure that the resource requirements are delivered on time and that they are available when needed. I will consult widely with the organisational manager to collate, analyse and organisedetails of resource requirements. This will be very important because the company has set out procedures on acquiring resources in order to maintain a specific profit margin. Consulting with the manager will help in keeping the resources within the budget. Key Performance Indicators There are different performance indicators that will set for this program. The performance indicators will be specific to the individuals due to the health and physical fitness levels. Using powerlifting as an example is a very good way of relating concepts to training (Impellizzeri et al., 2006). Understanding the key performance indicators will be very simple, it is necessary to consider the performances that will be measured in order for the organisation to develop and come up with a proactive management system for the participants. The purpose of the performance indicators will be; To prepare a list of the trainees To obtain evidence of physical and medical fitness of the clients in order to use it in preparing the training program. The schedule the training dates according to the availability of the participants To appoint the personal trainer and assessor To notify the company's employees and staff of the training program and the specific dates as well as activities to be taking place. To carry out training activities and evaluation To obtain evaluation documentation as well as certificates for the client and To review the outcomes and hence prepare remedial actions where necessary. One of the key performance indicators will be the heart rate. This is because the heart rate is affected by various factors such as intake of caffeine, stress, muscle fatigue and lack of enough sleep. The heart rates will indicate certain training levels enough to stimulate improvements. It will be used to regulate speed of the training tasks and activities. Another KPI will be training pace. This will liberate and regulate training from one level to the next according to the pace of the clients. In addition, fitness drive is very important indicator. This will indicate the scores and the importance of fitness and also prepare the clients mentally to take the program to the end. Persistence is an important fitness performance indicator. It is the willpower fuel to the clients for reaching the long term objectives such as losing weight or getting healthy. Persistent persons are highly focused in the training and their never forget their targets as well as where they want to reach. Other indicators that I will set are level of client’s aspiration, pride in achievement, self-efficacy, thirst for training and goal setting (Lee et al., 2005). Contingency Plan One of the contingency that may occur is collapse of the clients while training. There will be emergency services in place at the training centers at all times in order to cater for any health concern of the clients while training. I nominate the company manager and the liaison officer in the NSW government to be involved in the consultation process to have the plan accepted. This plan will raise additional resource requirements and these persons are very important in accepting the additional resources. Proposal for Acquiring Additional Resources In my capacity as the personal trainer would like to request for additional resources for this facility. We have resources but they are not enough according to the intake of the clients as scheduled. We do not have the necessary resources to accommodate all the clients and therefore we need the necessary resources. We need aerobic equipment, financial resources and computer, these resources are essential in providing quality and value to the clients. This follows the right steps and processes established by the company to request for resources. References Amon, R., & Rouse, J. 2012.
