the vital stage of juvenility, it will create a host of problems to the physical body as well as mental mind, and will also destroy their related and associated lives. The term “Juvenile delinquency” is defined as an act of crime carried out by juveniles. The term also includes the act of punishing or correcting or reforming those juveniles through various forms of punishments ranging from imprisonment, secluded schools, hard labor, etc, in the correctional facilities like juvenile detention centers.

So, this paper focusing on the steps particularly communication related steps taken juvenile detention centers will discuss how community correctional facilities are effective and can bring about positive changes among the juveniles. Even though, the term “juvenile” is commonly used to refer infants or children, teens or adolescents and youth, the term is interpreted differently by the legal systems of different countries. “Juveniles are defined as those people who haven’t reached adulthood or the age of majority.

What defines adulthood or the age of majority in a court system may be predetermined by law, especially for minor crimes” (Christensen). So, the term “juvenile delinquency” is mainly used to refer to the bad behavior of children, adolescents and youth, which is not approved by the society and importantly is illegal or criminal, according to the law of the respective countries. Simply said, it is a broad-based term given to juveniles who commit crimes. Cavan (1961) describes the delinquency as “A delinquent child is one who, by habitually refusing to obey the reasonable and lawful commands of his parents or other persons of lawful authority…or who habitually so deports himself as to injure or endanger the moral, health or welfare of himself or others Punishment depends on the severity of the crime committed by the juvenile.
