Introduction Over the recent years, companies have had transformations in the ways they interact with their customers. Technology has brought about all these changes making it possible for companies to communicate with consumers.

Some companies usually decide to source cheap labor from countries such as the Philippines or students who do not care much about what they are paid to work at the call centers according to (Holman, Batt and Holtgrewe 2007). The outsourcing of staff creates a large pool of unemployed residents. There are prospects that some software will be developed to ensure that call centers employ the use of automated voice. The software is expected to conduct fluent conversations with customers thereby reducing the number of staff employed as well as the space occupied by the staff in the office thereby making it cheaper for companies to operate.   Diagnosis refers to the identification of a problem after a thorough examination of the causes.

White Knight Mail Order Company is failing in many ways. Firstly, their employee retention is poor and they have not put in place ways of motivating them to keep working at the call centre. The human resource department is vested with the power to ensure that employees have a healthy environment for the growth of their careers as asserted by Maslow in his needs theory which states that employees need such as safety need to be fulfilled by an organization so as to achieve good performance from the employees (Maslow 1943).

Measures should be put in place to reward employees based on their performance thereby, encouraging them to work even harder. The human resource department in any organization ensures that the employees are able to relate well with the customers. Proper training should be administered to the employees constantly so as to ensure that they are well equipped to handle clients depending on their needs.

White Knight Company has not taken into keen consideration of the importance of employee training. It is obviously clear that the modern workplace is changing drastically due to the availability of immense technology. For example, the mobile phone has enabled businesses to go global. A manager can disseminate orders via phone to employees in different parts of the world. At the same time, it is possible to communicate with customers from all over the world and to get feedback on products and services and this has fuelled the rise of call centres.

White Knight Company happens to make use of mobile technology and as such, the call centers should aim at retaining the best employees to ensure customer satisfaction which is paramount for business performance. The best employees will ensure speedy and quality services to customers.
