The paper "Various Tasks Performed by the Bureaucratic Organization" is an outstanding example of a business case study. Bureaucracy is a big administrative organization that takes care of the everyday business of a government. In our case, the American Government will be analyzed as a bureaucratic organization. This practice of organization is mainly practised in America whereby government’ s bureaucracy operates on its national, state and local levels. Bureaucracy system governs large organizations as posited by Destler (2015). The organization is set out that the president has the vice president and the cabinet members as his main advisors.
The American government has stated at local levels. The size and complexity of the government make it a bureaucratic organization. The main aim of this essay is to explore various tasks performed by the bureaucratic organization, structure, and its coordination mechanism (Reading 2). 2. Bureaucratic Organization Bureaucratic organizations have two elements of structure that are of importance. They include standard method and procedures, and a level of control of the methods and procedures. Every bureaucratic organization must have the standard methods and procedures to help in performing the assigned tasks and responsibilities of its members.
Since the procedures are to be highly performed at certain levels of its standards, it is important to control every activity. This ensures that there is adherence to the standards. Government agencies are a good example of bureaucratic organizations. This is because it has exactly the features of the organizations. It also enjoys the advantage that comes in collision with the organization (reading 2). 3.1 Purpose Government organizations have several purposes they perform as found out by Bleiklie et al. (2015). They facilitate and ensure that there is the establishment of the organization goals.
This is because the work is delegated to every staff of the organization. The coordination mechanisms in the organization ensure that the required goals are attained as posited by Williams & Mengistu (2015). The organization ensures that there is coordination in various organizational activities. The individual accountability and authority responsibility is defined hence full coordination of the organization. According to Janowski, T. (2015) the hierarchy structure ensures that each individuals responsibility is defined in the organization, (there is the establishment of authority relationship) finally, the organization ensures that there is a division of tasks among the individuals in accordance to their expertise and capabilities.
Knowing each one's capabilities helps incorrect division of labor. However, the organization has main three main goals that help the government to move along well. It implements laws and policies that are made by the elected officials. It does this by ensuring that laws and policies are put in practice in certain situations and applied accordingly in all contingencies of daily activities. For instance, they answer all questions and complaints concerning the law.
They also decide when to waive the license fees. The governmental bureaucracies provide the required administrative functions. These functions include issuing of permits and licenses, collecting fees and conducting examinations. It does this by handling everyday paperwork in government operations. For example, anyone who requires a certain license like a driver’ s license has to face the bureaucratic administration, meet the requirements then apply for the license.
