An effective HR strategy is therefore important in ensuring that the organization is able to improve on its efficiency. Communication within the organization is efficient and all the employees usually receive information within a short period of time. This is useful in ensuring that the employees are aware of the activities that are taking place within the company. The welfare of the employees is also taken care of by the human resource department. The workplace health and safety policies are in place for promoting the safety of the employees. Management Styles Issues The management styles mainly involve the characteristic ways of making decisions and relating to the subordinates (Edelenbos, et al, 2013). The levels of efficiency within an organization are dependent on the management style. At the company the management style is democratic which has played an essential role in ensuring that the employees are consulted during the decision making process. According to the management theories, the democratic management style the managers allows the employees to be involved in the decision making process. The employees are usually consulted before any decision is made making the process guided by the majority. The decision made is based on what the majority of the employees agree with. The managers have little control on the decision made. A lot of communications is usually required between the employees and the management during the process. An effective communication strategy is in place at the company which plays an important role in enhancing the management style at the company. The management of operations at the company is highly valued and it forms the pillar of the organization. The levels of job satisfaction are high at the organization due to the democratic management style that is being used. This has influenced the way employees relate with one another. The quality of work is also improved through the presence of democratic management style. The rate of employee turnover is also low when the management style within the organization is good. However, a poor management style is one of the leading causes of high employee turnover rates. An employer of choice also requires a good management style in order to attract more people at the company. According to the management theories, it is difficult for the employees to be committed to an organization that does not treat the employees well. The company has therefore put in place measures to ensure that the needs of the employees are addressed by the management. The management style is therefore and important tool within an organization. Issues not liked at the organization Although most aspects of the organization were positive, there were also some negative aspects with regards to the business. Some of the rules at organization were strict and this has the potential of affecting the operations of the employees. It may also hinder their participation in some of the activities that affects their operations. The strictly rules at the organization were implemented strictly by the supervisors making it difficult for the organization to achieve flexibility. The organization needs to put in place flexible standards in order to ensure that it meets the needs of the employees and improve on the efficiency. The company has not fully utilized the concepts of information technology. Most of the activities are still carried out manually. This has increased the amount of paperwork that has to be carried out at the organization. All the forms that are filled online have to be transferred to the nard cop[y and hence creating a lot of tiresome procedures. The procedures could be simplified through the use of an effective information technology concept. All the activities should be carried out online and the manual processes eliminated. The company should also encourage the use of online payments and booking so as to improve on the efficiency of its processes. The company lacks a more professional dressing code among the members of the management. This affects the way the manager dress in some of the occasions. The lack of a professional dressing code also leads to lack of uniformity in some of the occasions (Jiang, et al, 2012). A professional dress code should therefore be put in place at the organization. Reflection and Conclusion The lesions learnt from the organization were quite different from the theoretical issues that were learnt in class. This is an indication that the real world is quite different from the theoretical aspects. The organization has applied some concepts of best practices in terms of management and human resources. I learnt that the relationship between the managers and the employees is important in ensuring that the goals and objectives are achieved. The concepts of information technology are important in ensuring that the managers are able to carry out their operations effectively. The managers require a lot of flexibility during the decision making process. Some of the decisions require swift action and hence the need for flexibility. Teamwork within an organization is important in ensuring that different tasks can be completed within a short period of time. The organizational structure of an organization should be structured in a way that encourages the interaction between the employees and the management. The contributions of the employees towards the success of the company are quite important. I learnt that the employees will only perform well if they are valued. The motivation of the employees is also useful in ensuring that the employees are committed to the organization. I learnt that an organization has to ensure that it abides by the laws and regulations that are in place. The policies of the organization should be in line with the laws and regulations that are governing the industry. The operations of the company should also be of high standards in order to meet the needs of the customers. In conclusion, it is evident that the organization has put in place some measures that promote efficiency. The company targets a diverse range of customers including the tourists. The locals people are also customers of the customers. It is evident that the company has put in place measures to improve in the delivery of service to the customers. The decision making process at the company involves the employees due to the democratic style of management. It is evident that the level of job satisfaction within the organization is also high due to the management style. Some of the aspects of the company are however not good enough and more needs to be done. It is evident that the company needs to put in place more efforts to improve on its levels of flexibility. The company needs to develop a professional dress code so as to ensure that uniformity is achieved during certain events. The level of information technology use needs to be improved in order to promote efficiency within the organization.
