Specifically: Reviewing, directing and managing the company’s financial and operational systems, procedures and control to ensure they are professional and workable; Providing leadership in the development and implementation of appropriate strategies to enhance profitability; Leading and motivating a team from divers and multi-cultural backgrounds. Nurturing human resource capacity and building a performance-oriented, motivated and appropriately skilled work force; Advising the board on all matters relating to its skilled work force, financial and operational systems, business strategies and opportunities; Identification of markets and opportunities for business expansion in Eastern Africa; Providing proactive public relations to enhance the company’s corporate image; andProviding relationship management and networking with local and global business partners; Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
A higher qualification in Finance and Accounts, Administration and Business management will be an added advantage. Professional experience: Strong leadership qualities; extensive senior management experience; proven communication, interpersonal and networking skills. Progressive experience in the tourism industry is likely to be especially useful, though we are open to people with other professional backgrounds.
