The paper " Economic and Structural Development of Dubai Through Expo 2020" is an outstanding example of a management capstone project.   The research finds out ways in which the Expo 2020 will help improve the current economic status of Dubai to advance it more. In addition, the research addresses the contribution of technology to economic and structural development. The research majors on the economic and structural development of Dubai through Expo 2020. Significance of the Study This research helps Dubai to examine the achievements of other cities that held expositions. The research also helps in planning on how to attain the best outcome from the expo.

In addition, this research acts as an aid in identifying failures experienced in some of the previous expos. Consequently, this research ensures that Dubai does not repeat similar mistakes as it carries out a maiden exposition in the Middle East. Therefore, the research gives an overall insight to the United Arab Emirate (UAE) region on how to achieve the maximum benefits from its maiden exposition to be held in Dubai. Research Question The research questions that guided this research are as followings: What impact does Expo 2020 have on the economic development of Dubai? What impact does Expo 2020 have on the structural development of Dubai? What challenges have been encountered in previous expos and important lessons for Expo 2020? These questions helped in the maximization of the area of research and ensured maximum utilization of the available resources regarding Expo 2020. Project Scope This research dealt with findings on the impacts of the Dubai Expo 2020 to Dubai City and the United Arabic Emirates concerning real estate, transport and communication, tourism, employment, trade, and business. LITERATURE REVIEW Background of the Study A global exposition or simply expo is a world event where people from different parts of the globe come together to a specific city of a certain country to show their arts, goods, services and advance their countries (Heller, 2014).

Expos had been in existence since when trading began. However, the current system of world fairs began in the eighteenth century. Exposition not only promotes economic activities of various countries but impact on the political and socio-cultural fabrics of different countries.
