Chocoholic: Helping a National Business with its Systems 2.0 Introduction The strategic plans of the Chocoholic enterprise are based on the need for improvement and realization of performance level.
Systems and software used in the organization are supposed to be improved to need the rising demand in the expansion of the firm. Setting strategic plans of the firm are supposed to relate to the new improved systems and software especially in the IT department. IT and data governance help decision making and evaluation of the policies of the firm. The management has the responsibility to ensure secure data storage in the IT department. The data in the organization helps in providing the performance trends in the organization and hence assisting management in decision making and strategic planning. 3.0 Literature Review 3.1 IT Strategic Plan The digital era has focused on information system development whereby the key successes in the small and large companies have been witnessed.
Information Technology has contributed to improved performance and productivity by setting strategic plan measures (Murov & Staver, 2008). It is essential to understand the implication of the IT strategic plan of the firm depending on the milestone achievement to realize the organizational goals and objectives. IT strategic plan relates to the mechanism that organizational management focuses on improving the development systems in the firm's operations.
All the activities of the firm are supposed to be connected to a coordinated system whereby the departments have specified systems to assist in performance improvement (Liu & Liang, 2015). Therefore, the management has the mandate to focus on appropriate IT systems that would enhance improved performance and production.
