The paper "Coffee Industry Analysis: Dunkin Donuts" is a perfect example of a business case study. This report was prepared with the overall aim of developing a strategic analysis of Dunkin doughnuts by looking at the wider coffee industry in which the company competes. By this, Dunkin Donuts was not the only center of attraction in the report even though it was the most pivotal area of writing. Overall, the coffee industry has been found to be one of the most promising industries that can solve most of man and industry’s needs for the future.

In the current state, however, Dunkin Donut is faced with a form of competition that cannot only be regarded as local but also international. This is because, through globalization, several foreign companies have had the opportunity of doing business with local coffee consumers and businesses that deal in coffee. As part of this Dunkin’ is not just faced with competition from major local rivals like Caribou Coffee but also faced with what has been termed as a virtual global competition.

In terms of ethics and corporate social responsibility (CSR), the company has been rated highly but has been admonished to continue focusing on this area as a way of building a corporate global brand for itself. As far as strategies are concerned at the business and functional levels, it has been noted that the most ultimate way out for the company to adopt the differentiation strategic option where it seeks to offer additional value on the services and products that its competitors offer. Overview of the Company As a company founded in 1950, Dunkin’ Donuts has become focused on incremental growth with the forms of services and products that it offers to its customers.

This approach to business has been manifested and rewarded with the rate of growth of the company. For example, from a very humble beginning with just an office in Quincy, Massachusetts, Dunkin Donuts now has 11,000 restaurants that are well scattered across 33 countries(Dunkin' Donuts). This makes it a global or multinational company As part of its long heritage of service and products, Dunkin’ Donuts has specialized in the area of coffee and baked goods and is today regarded as one of the world’s largest in this chain of supply (Viser 23).
