Hypothesis 2: The null hypothesis stated that the average income of the people that were surveyed is equal to $70,000, while the alternative hypothesis stated that the average income of the people that were surveyed differs significantly from $70,000.

The sample survey average income (M = $77,087.50, SD = 28,896.93) is greater than the hypothesized value. The result of one sample t-Test revealed a significant difference, t (399) = 4.905, p < .001.
