So many companies have entered the real estate business that has increased competition in the industry. Many of their customers have flown to other competing companies (Kamrava, 2013). Companies have come up with better-structured residential units compared to those of Ezdan Company. New entrants in the market lead to reduced profits and a downward pressure on the prices.
Additionally, availability of substitutes in the market reduces the competitive advantage of the company. Substitute products places limit on the maximum price that market leaders charge. In any situation that may make Edna raise the prices for their real estate products, buyers will switch to the competitors of the company who offer lower prices.
