This is in order for the business community to be more accountable, customer friendly, has ease in reception, storage and retrieval of information using updated state of the art technological tools, which are the core foundation for innovation in modern business contexts. Essay 2 My role as a manager will be intertwined with good leadership skills. Since I am working with a team, as a manager, I need to bring my team on board in making critical decisions that affect them and help my team understand the set goals and objectives, who is assigned what roles, the need to accomplish the set objectives and the best suited strategy and mechanisms to accomplish that. My role will also entail empowering my team mates using motivational tools and techniques that propel them to exploit their knowledge and skills to the fullest potential hence efficiency in work processes and work operations. I need as a manager, to ensure that I completely utilize the available resources at minimal costs to generate maximum gains which are aligned to not only the needs and goals of the organization I work for, but also aligned to the needs of all stakeholders which include the workforce, suppliers, shareholders, and the management among others. As a manager it is imperative that I identify, develop, implement and constantly evaluate and monitor strategic plans, to ensure that they help enhance a conducive working environment that promote occupational health and safety, quality, and accountability for my team. Attributes of my ideal team mates would be individuals that learn from previous experiences, are not intimidated by change, accommodate and encourage creativity, invention and innovation, are trainable, thorough, and continuously consults on issues that challenge them and are passionate enough to meet their personal and professional targets and goals. Essay 3 My perfect post MBA job is to be a business manager. As a business manager, I will not only put into practice what I have learnt through the MBA program, but also, employ skills, knowledge and abilities that I have gathered as a professional and build business analytical skills which are based on technology which influence decision making processes. My skills in team work will be an added advantage in ensuring that the team I work with is able to effectively and efficiently deliver results. My roles will entail planning, which is appraising the current status and stage of the lifecycle of the company, and assessing where it needs to be in the short and long term (Jeston & Nelis, 2006, p. 25). This will entail analyzing the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, risks and opportunities. The job will give me a chance to develop new technological solutions that would ease operations, enhance production and increase efficiency for the organization I would be offering my services to. In addition, I would be in a position to organize responsibilities to different units, that is, division of labor. In so doing, I will be able to influence and invoke good working relationships and open lines of communication within the organization structures and across the external publics. A business manager is tasked with managing, monitoring and supervising the workforces to ensure they comply with set standards, policies and guidelines (Jeston & Nelis, 2006, p.40). Moreover, offer assistance when need be. This I will do upon completion of my MBA program if permitted to by your organization. Essay 4 The one person that I can point to have significantly shaped my life is a colleague that I work with. The colleague, James was the sixth in poor family of eight. He was brought up in the outskirts of the city by his father a miner and his mother a house wife who knitted clothes for a living. In his junior years, James was adamant and stressed to his parents that he needed to join school. From the meager earnings his parents made, he enrolled in school. In his junior high school, James joined a volunteer group where he worked as a social worker, while holding odd jobs in summer to support his family and save enough for his tuition fees. James was and even to date remains passionate, aggressive and passionate in accomplishing what he has set his mind to do personally or professionally. Since he could not afford to join higher level institution, eight years ago, James sought employment at Saudi Industrial Development Fund as an errand/ janitor. He worked at that post dedicating his efforts and skills into it. Gradually, he would attend business seminars and conferences held by the company and were free for the staff. He started learning the basics. From his earnings, James enrolled in a part time certificate program in basic accounting. Since he was a dedicated, respectful and hardworking employee, the firm’s human resource agreed to offer him a casual position at the firm upon completion of his certificate program. One and a half year later since being employed as a janitor/ errand boy in the firm, James was employed casually as an assistant accountant. As they say the rest is history, since James was not only able to pursue a degree in financial accounting in a local university, but presently works as a regional finance personnel of the firm. What influences my life about James is the persistence, hard work, having a trainable spirit and dedication attached to what he does, regardless of what the job is. He has an eye opener that I can achieve anything I set my eyes on, if only I remain true to me and to others, persevere and above all learn, learn and learn. In line with this, is my need to pursue a MBA program at your University, in order to attain skills and knowledge required to reach the next level and attain the short term and long term objectives I have set for myself personally and professionally. Attaining admission at your university will not only expose me to new challenges and highlights academically, but also will guide me in attaining the right credentials and theoretical experience necessary to become the next regional business manager in not only in my company, but also in the community and the wider nation of Saudi Arabia. From James experience and life, as a person I feel all the more motivated and empowered to pursue what I love and that is integration of technological solutions into the business contexts.
