The paper "Group Creativity Innovation through Collaboration" is a wonderful example of an assignment on business. Most organizations normally encourage their employees to volunteer in certain social programs or activities. Companies such as Samsung, Nokia, and Erickson have programs in place, whose main aim is to encourage their employees to volunteer and serve the community. Take for example Samsung. The company has developed the Samsung Welfare Foundation, which contributes to the community, as a way of returning the corporate benefits they acquired to society or the community. Ever since the year 1993, the return of corporate benefits to the community is one of the most important policies of Samsung.
For purposes of sustaining these social welfare programs, the company normally requires its employees to voluntarily participate in these programs (Laughlin, 2011). This is whether they are working at home, or even abroad. Most reputable companies such as Nokia, Erickson, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, etc, have these programs in place, and their employees have to participate in them. Despite the existence of these programs, the question to ask is; what is the problem that this employee volunteering program aims to solve?
This paper seeks to analyze and find a solution to the intention of the employee volunteering programs, initiated by Samsung. This paper uses the CATWOE model of analysis to find a solution to this answer. The use of the CATWOE analysis in trying to answer the intention of the employee volunteering program is effective because it has six major elements, which helps an individual to brainstorm for purposes of identifying the problem, and coming up with the solution. CATWOE is an acronym that stands for, clients, actors, transformation process, world view, owner, and environmental constraints (Hunnicutt, 2009).
While brainstorming under the concept of clients, an individual has to identify who these customers are, and how the issue under consideration affects them. It is important to understand that a good volunteering program that is initiated by a company has three major elements, namely the community, the company, and employees (Laughlin, 2011). It is therefore important to analyze the beneficiaries of the volunteering program under this context.
