Leadership Reflection Paper Leadership Reflection Paper Introduction Leadership challenge is a topic that most top managers have been interested in in today’s business world. This is because each day comes with new challenges due to the latests nventions and innovations in the world of technology. Most organizations have tried to incorporate technology in their organizations. Hence, they end up encountering different challenges in the course of this transition period. Therefore, leaders need to come up with better ways of solving challenges which revolve around their working environments.

Definition of leadership Leadership is the art of personal expression. Further, it can be defined as the ability of a leader to inspire a team of emloyees or individuals and transform them to be better persons (Kouzes & Posner, 2012). This results of this inspiration are evident in teir various responsibilities whic they play in an organization. Agod leader is known to be a good source of motivation and a role model to his or her juniors in an organization. For instance, in my organization, leadership has changed over years.

This has been influenced by a number of factors that come up due to changes in trends in the business and technology world. Changes in these areas require the management to change their techniques and employee new ones in order to cope up with any changes that are happening daily. Different factors have changed the leadership in my organization Factors that have influenced changes in leadership Firstly, when the director or the manager of the organization is changed, the one who takes over comes up with his or her strategies and ways of managing the employees.

However, this depends with the time of the year or his expected role in the organization (Williams 2005). He ma propose a nuber of adjustment and changes in various department within the organization in order to achieve the set objectives. However, this can be a great challenge especially in an organization where employees have adopted a specific culture. Bring any kind of change can create a lot of resistance from these employees who are worried about their welfare. Hence, it is always good to communicate and seek their contribution before proposing any change in the organization.

Secondly, diversity and influence brought by technology has caused changes in leadership i my organization. New departments are being created to take care of the new need that are coming in the course of operation. Further, technology is really bringing a lot of changes in our organizations today. For example, most organizations have established information technology department in their organization in order to take care of these emerging needs. This has directly influenced leadership in these organizations (Williams, 2009).

In addition, managers are adopting new strategies daily in order to try and achieve the set objectives on time by the organization. This could be because the older ones are not effective and applicable in this era and time. Impacts of technology can be felt globally and so it os the case for leadership. Impact of the theoretical material to my job The theoretical material focuses on leadershp challenges. It has greatly changed my mentality on today’s leadership in organizations. As a leader, one must be enlightened and learn how to move with the latest trends in the world of technology.

It is always good to lead by example. The material has also highlighted challenges that leaders face in various capacities. Hence, t has been a source of inspiration and encouragement. Recommendations To enhance quality leadership, leaders and managers are required to adopt various principles (Terry, 1972). These principles will act as guidelines which will help them solve challenges that come i daily. Firstly, the leader should address any issue or challenge in a systematic manner. This will enable him or her to establish the rot cause of the issue and dealt it from that level.

Determining the cause of the challenge will enable him to appropriate solutions to the challenge. Secondly, a leader must involve employees of all levels and divisions withn the organization. This will elp eliminate an occurence of resistance from these employees. Employees involvelement in leadership plays an important role in ensuring that there is peaceful co-existence with each other in the organization. Finally, a leader should communicate effectively and on time with all employees (Bird & Westley, 2011).

This will help him, or her identify issue or a challenge that need to be addresed on time. It will also ensure a good relationship with his juniors n the organization.
