The paper "Loss of Staff from the Organizations after Being Funded Their Professional Development" is a perfect example of a management research paper. Professional development is attained through staff training that happens in an organization from time to time. Employees are trained to increase their productivity and service delivery and help the organization in achieving its vision of existence. Training and development refer to the formal, ongoing process in organizations for the purpose of improving the self-fulfillment and performance of employees using various programs and methods. In modern times, these efforts have assumed a number of applications ranging from instruction in highly specific job skills and long term professional development (Muthuveloo & Che Rose, 2005). In recent times training and development have transformed into a business function that is formal, a crucial element of strategy and an acknowledged profession with distinct methodologies and theories. Many companies have gracefully embraced continual learning and other elements of training and development as a way of enhancing employee growth and developing a workforce that is highly skilled (Krane, 2009). In reality, the employees’ quality, and the continuous improvement of their skills as well as their productivity through training are broadly recognized as essential factors in realizing long-term profitability and success of small businesses. Scholars have advocated for the creation of a corporate culture that encourages continual learning. Employees in modern times have to focus on continual training in every aspect in order to remain competitive in the ever-changing business world. If a company does not actively strive against the challenge of the gradual of skills deficiency then it stands to lose ground. Largely the terms ‘development’ and ‘training’ are used at the same time to describe the overall education and improvement of employees of an organization (Brigid, 2009). In spite of this close relation, there are major differences in the terms that revolve around their scope of application.

Generally, training programs contain quantifiable and very specific goals, such as the operation of specific machinery, the understanding of a particular process, or carrying out a particular procedure with enhanced precision.
