Skills are important tools as having skills ensures that the business is able to us those skills and deliver better results by using the surrounding resources. Businesses require different skills and time management is one important skill that determined whether the project will be completed on time or not. While using time management skills it is imperative that the business is able to identify the manner in which the work can be accomplished in the allotted time but also by ensuring that the resources are used in the most efficient manner. This paper thereby looks towards presenting the manner in which time management skills are important and the strategies which will enable the business to improve it and work according to the limits that have been provided. Organizations have to continuously look towards finding cost cutting measures which has increased the pressure on the workforce as they have to look towards accomplishing the task. This has stretched the work load on the employees and has stretched their working culture so that businesses are able to start early and complete the project on time. The importance of time management is clearly evident in case of project based business where they have to look towards ensuring that the project is completed on time. Their survival in the industry and the profitability depends on it which makes it important that the proper time management skills are used to ensure maximum efficiency. The manner in which the businesses have to adopt cost cutting tactics and continuous reduction in the workforce the challenges multiplies for the organization as to sustain the same productivity and approach time management requirements needs to be dealt in a more tactical manner so that the correct time is done at the correct juncture by using the most efficient way so that overall efficiency is gained and the business is able to deal with the requirements of time in a better way. This requires that he management looks towards recouping some of the time so that it can be look into other directions like improving the work environment and productivity of the business organization (Farooq, Rehmani & Afridi, 2010). This requires specialized skills where the team instead of taking the pressure of not being able to deal with the project has to look towards finding out ways through which they are able to procarstinate or predict about the things that haven’t been done and steps can be taken in that direction so that the overall efficiency and management of time is better. This increases the importance of proper planning and scheduling especially in case of projects which are dealing in the field of project management and have to be completed on time. Project scheduling is methods which helps the organization to draw charts and based on it identify the different tasks which have to be completed at what time. This thereby helps to give a direction to the employees and helps to understand the desirable objectives for the employees based on which they will have to work. This will thereby magnify the role of employees as they will have to look towards effective resource allocation and has to look towards effective time management instead of effective delivery (Sevari & Kandu, 2011). This model will thereby increase the value of time management skills and will provide the required directions based on which the organization will be able to translate the different methods into actual practice. Time management skills apart from planning to accomplish the task also have to develop ways which will help to understand the present situation. This will require that the person has relevant understanding of the tasks that have already been accomplished and also knowledge related to the percentage of task that have been completed or is in progress. Ensuring regular checks and notifications will help to understand the true position which will help to determine whether the business requires additional resources to be able to complete the project on time (Lotfi, Aminin & Ghomizadea, 2011). This will also help to improve the process of forecasting and will help to understand the different areas which are of prime importance and will thereby develop specialized skills and process to deliver the projects on time and adhering to the time schedule which has been developed while starting the work. Just looking towards accomplishing the task by also using the additional resources will not help to determine the success of the project as the managers will have to estimate the cost as well. It is imperative that while looking towards time management skills efficiency is maintained which makes the role of a manager difficult. This will require that the project manager is able to asscertain the additional cost of resources properly and look towards allocating it in such a manner that the overall efficiency which was planned while starting to work on the project is not compromised (Sabil & Marican, 2011). This will make the project managers collate a lot of data together and look towards completing the task within the allotted time and budget which has been granted. The complexity of time management multiplies when different task has to be performed by different groups and all the work has to be integrated to ensure effectiveness. This thereby multiplies the role of the manager as he will have to ensure that the individual and team performance of the entire group is to be monitored while looking towards gaining efficiency. The complexities in the field of time management thereby increase when different departments and channels are involved. Time management which was looking a simple concept for the organization thereby has bigger complexities as ensuring that all the departments and group are able to schedule the project on time becomes a difficult affair and requires specialized skills to be able to match the required standards. This confirms the fact that people are important and the success or failure of a particular project is largely dependent on the manner the different people within the organization performs. Taking a tactical approach which aims at proper time management will look towards starting the project on the right time and in the right track so that the project is worked according to the stated budget and provides the maximum efficiency and benefit that the business is aiming at. A way which will help towards ensuring that time is properly monitored and the result is achieved on time can be achieved by using a web based time sheets which allows the different department to upload their progress and manner in which the business is being presently conducted (Schwartz & McCarthy, 2007). This will help to provide quick and regular updates which will help to gauge the effectiveness in which time is being managed within the organization and will provide the basic fundamentals which looks towards improving the strategy of managing time and ensuring proper resource allocation to accomplish the task which has been assigned. The success of time management is largely dependent on the manner the business is able to deliver the projects on the set budget which can be accomplished by recording the time correctly and using it as a measure which will help to gauge the effectiveness in which time is managed. This will also help the finance department as it will provide a check through which they will be able to ensure that the clients are charged for every bit of work that has been underdone and will provide the required balance through which the overall effectiveness is gained in dealing with clients Time management also looks towards ensuring that the business is able to develop the communication skills which will foster the process of time management skills to be better developed. Improving the communication process and moving towards the use of technology will help to simplify the process of passing information quickly (Ojo & Olaniyan, 2008). This will enable the business to ensure that communication is done in the most effective manner and will provide the employees with the direction and resources that they have at their disposal through which the project will be accomplished in the most effective manner. Another important aspect in time management is performance monitoring which involves that the performance of each and every employee is closely monitored and the gaps which will have an effect on the delivery time is identified (Ebadi & Hassanzabeh, 2008). This will provide useful information pertaining to the time being spend on project related work, non-project related work and other activities which will help in future planning and in determining the different directions that the business will have to focus to achieve the task within the stated time. Time management is thereby an aspect which is gaining relevance and is looked by different organizations as one of the most important parameters to be able to deliver quality performance. It requires that the business looks towards different time management skills like proper communication, project scheduling, performance monitoring, use of technology to provide the relevant information pertaining to the time used and other details to be able to complete the project on time. This will thereby transform into better results and will help to ensure that time management skills looks towards including all the departments and process through which overall efficiency is gained in the system.
