The paper "Perception of University Students towards Order Employees" is an outstanding example of a marketing research proposal. In the twenty-first century, population aging has become common in every country. Population aging is commonly known as the quiet transformation because it is gradual, continuous and in the long run inescapable. Population aging will accelerate in the next few decades in Australia, with substantial economic implications. The Australian populace is much of age today that it was in the previous decades. For example, in 1964, the average age in Australia was 28.5 years and only 9% of the population was over 50 years of age (Australian Bureau of Statistics).
Between the year 2014 and 2015, the mean age remained steady at 37 years. Today, the percentage of grown-up populace in Australia has increased by a proportion greater than 20% while that of the younger population continues to decline. The elderly population has also grown in the workplaces. Both old and young have different perceptions of each other. Younger Australians, mostly those under 30 years of age are the most cynical about the concept of aging.
In most cases, they associate the aging with the loss of vigor, loss of audible range, loss of conceptual capacity and even loss of revenue. The youthful Australians seem to find it hard to identify any benefits related to aging. As a matter of facts, they indicate aging as simply not something they consider to be part of their lives. On the other hand, the older Australians view age as inclined by wider shared, expressive and interpersonal elements. As a matter of facts, a lot of people over the age of 65 years feel that the expression “ old age” does not apply to them.
The difference in perception of aging among the older and younger Australians creates tension between them. The result is age discrimination even in the workplaces. The majority of the community members and commerce people feel that age perception is likely to happen in the place of work and retail situations. Older people frequently experience cases of service invisibility, product invisibility, relation invisibility and cultural invisibility. With this in mind, this study aims at exploring how University students feel towards older people.
The study will also examine their inclination to work together with older people. The primary method used to collect data was questionnaires. The total numbers of students interviewed were six hundred and forty-one. Statement of Problem Over the last decade, population aging in Australia has continued to slow the workforce as well as economic growth. The challenges presented by Australia’ s workforce include the attitudes towards the older workers, which further hinders the process of improving the older Australians’ employment prospects. The problem of age-related discrimination is most keenly felt in the core of the Australian workforce. Purpose of Research The general aim of this exploration is to explore the way university students feel about the old labor force.
The specific targets for the study are: To determine: The proportion of college students that have a negative perception about the aging workforce The percentage of university students have a positive attitude about the aging workforce. The proportion of the university who would be willing to work together with the older people. The percentage of college students who would not be willing to cooperate with the older people. To evaluate the extent of typecasts and undesirable approaches towards older Australians.
