The paper 'Positive and Negative Impacts on the Virtual Network Boundaries of China' is a detailed example of a business dissertation. The study was conducted with the objective of exploring the impact that the relaxation in the restrictions over the VPN sector of China had on the internet users therein. The study, therefore, concentrated on the internet restrictions, as per the norms of the Chinese government, the relaxations in the policies along with their positive and negative impacts on the virtual network boundaries of China.

Besides, the study also indicated the need for a further list of relaxations that can be brought into the sector to help the users with obtaining their desired outcomes, without hampering the normal and peaceful setting of the nation. This relaxation had also taken into due consideration the strategies that would lead China towards economic stability and development in the long run. Virtual Private Network is concerned with the use of private networks for the exchange of information, through the internet protocol.

It is generally used to exchange information in encrypted form (Kelly et.al, 2013; Lewis, 2006; Fowler, 1999). At present, China is inclined towards making the infrastructure of the service sector more efficient, pertaining to the areas of broadcasting, telecommunications, and the internet. The government is also aimed at infusing changes in the regulation of the service sector by withdrawing control of the state in certain areas. It is very problematic for the government to make investments in the service sector due to the low rate of growth (Rutkowski, 2015).

The government undertook measures to encourage investment in value-added telecommunications services (VATS) bypassing the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (“SHFTZ”) in 2013. Such initiatives of liberalizing the telecom industry were taken in 2014 by launching three additional pilot surveys such as Guangdong, Fujian, and Tianjin.
