The paper “ Queue Management Strategies” is a brilliant example of the research paper on management. Queuing normally reduces efficiency and affects the time a customer is supposed to be served. This creates discontent among customers and the customers normally get frustrated and consequently, even the business may be affected due to the loss of customers and potential customers in the future. The arrival rate in a queue affects the service rate in that particular queue. Therefore the arrival rate must always be lower than the service rate otherwise the queue intensity will be too high.

When the queue intensity is too high what normally happens is that both the customer and the person serving become pressed to beat the time. It is important to note that a customer will always wish to spend the least time possible in any particular service whether physical, mobile, or virtual (Floy et al, 1993). This report is purposed to decrease the number of annoyance levels of shoppers and costumers to reach enhanced queue management by studying the psychological behavior of waiting in the queue.

The report will involve the main reasons that lead a person in the queue to be irritated. Queue management aims at making sure that a queue is controlled for efficiency reasons simply because time has always been of the essence in any business environment. Sometimes queues may exist as multiple ore single in nature. When the queues are multiple it is the duty of the service persons to see to it that such queues will not affect the people waiting adversely. Human behavior is often rational in nature and thus it should be tamed from diverging from the main objective towards a psychological and emotional breakdown of the mind.

A good queue management system will look into tuning the mind of the customer towards creating assurance that no matter the number of items in the queue at any given time service will not be compromised at all. (Terry L, 2002). Research ObjectivesThe Report is going to show some ways that lead to achieving the aims previously mentioned such as providing some alternatives to the typical queues we have, providing the costumers with services that could kill the waiting time or not even making them wait at all (Mobile Queuing).
