I will present the main project millstones, actors, time line and budget related issues for the better project handling and management. Introduction The Red is a leading magazine publication company. The company size is increasing day by day. Presently it comprises a staff of 36 personals. There is strong hope that its size will increase in the future.
So the company’s Managing Director Nick has felt the need for the company office relocation project. He has chosen me as a project manager for this project. I have got the time period of less then two months to manage this massive project, so we have to work fast and accurate for the on time completion of this project. Project Background The main initiative of this project is the increasing size of this company. As I have early stated that, corporation has better market value and its size increasing with the passage of time, so there is strong need for the building relocation.
The other main motive behind this project is the lease on current premises that will be ended after two months. So these are few main project initiations for this project. Scope This project is going to renovate the whole business structure and office setup. Here we are going to locate the office setup to new building and structure. This will provide wider space for the office and business setup. The basic aim behind this project is to facilitate the whole staff through providing better working place and business structure.
Here we are going to relocate the old office premises with more better and bigger structure. Expectation of project Through this project we are going to implement the better and enhanced working environment that will facilitate the expected organizational evolution and augment in working load. This new office premises will helpful for our business, because we are aimed to establish our new setup at a distinctive place. Now I will present their needs for better project management. Project manager: Needs on time and in budget completion of this project Managing Director: want better location and efficient work Old Building Owner: needs assurance for the overall premises safety and cleanness New Building Owner: new owner requires some legal statements for the lease of building Establishment department: wants to place the office in a better and more enhanced way Office employs; wants to have more open and wide working environment Clients and Suppliers: need information about the need office location Project time line We have the time period of less then two months to manage this massive project, so we have to work fast and accurate for the on time completion of this project. Milestones We have completed all the legal tasks before the packing and transportation, because during this task we have risk of some problem regarding the office rent settlement.
Here we also have to finalize all the designing before the equipment deployment on new location. This involves the electricity, ventilation and sanitary tasks. Stages of project I have divided to the total time to the following given tasks.
1. Packing (10 days) 2. Legal tasks (5 days) 3. New office designing (10 days) 4. Transportation (12 days) 5. Equipment stetting (20 days) 6. Informing clients and customer about new office location (2 days) Project budget In this project we have got the budget of the $10000. Here we allocate the $5000 to new office building rent and for some pre-qualification. The will spend $1000 for transportation. The designing will take $2000. The installation of new equipment and workers pays will charge the $2000. So this will be the overall project budget allocation. Outcomes of the project The main outcome of this project is to add to the organizational wider goals and objectives.
This will facilitate in the enhancement of office employers working capabilities. This project also adds to the companies evolving structure. There is better place for the suppliers and clients access. Issues In this project we can face lot of issues regarding the effective project execution. Like if we would not able to find some better place on time then this will waste our value able time regarding the better project management.
For this purpose we have to connect some well known estate dealer, so that we be able to get better office place on time. Recommendation This project will contribute to the organizational wider goals and objectives. This will facilitate in the enhancement of office employers working capabilities. This project also adds to the companies evolving structure. There is better place for the suppliers and clients access. So we have to try for the on time execution of the project.
