Abstract The aim of this statistical analysis was to determine whether the prices of private housing in England were influenced by the prices of housing in London between the months of January 2011 and May 2013. The data used for this purposes was retrieved from Index of Private Housing Rental Prices, Historical Series as it had a comprehensive set of the necessary data. For the analysis, the percentage change in prices over the time period was specifically what was analyzed as the data on indices did not meet the assumptions for statistical investigation.
