EU And the Transport Policy- Methodology The European Union (EU) is the world’s largest trading bloc and has been seeing a significant improvement interms of expansion of various sectors of the economy. The European population has increased in the past few years, great strides made in technological advancement and more businesses and industries have come up to increase competition in the business sector (Ionescu, 2012). With all these factors, there is a huge demand for an improved transport network system across Europe.

This would make movement of people and goods much easier thereby raising the economic profile of the regional trading bloc. A good EU transport policy is necessary in informing and guiding the member nations on developing infrastructure (Ionescu, 2012). Transport policies in the EU aim at reducing road congestion and emission of harmful gasses in to the air as well as eradicating the existing barriers to transport across the EU region. The transport policy is a major step towards promoting innovation and investment in the European economy.

Methodology This study relies on both primary and secondary methods of data collection. Primary methods of data collections employed in this research are the use of questionnaires and interviews. Secondary sources of data such as library books, journals, periodicals journals as well as relevant internet sources will also be very helpful. The sample size to be studied includes both men and women who are involved in day to day policy making of various European businesses that deal with the transport sector, companies and governments.

The sample size was selected using random sampling from among various people in the European Union trading zone. They include government officials, investors in the transport sector, manufacturing companies and other businesses. The age of the sample size is between 28 and 58 years of age. The main methods of data collection from the participants in the study were questionnaires while a handful of them were selected for interviews on their opinion about the EU transport policy. Questionnaires will require respondents to fill in certain details that will be relevant to this study.

Some questionnaires were sent to respondents via email, while a majority of them were delivered personally to respondents. The respondents had up to two days to fill in the questionnaire after which they were collected back for analysis. The main aim of using questionnaires is to get useful information from respondents regarding the EU transport network policy and what they feel will be the impact and future of business across Europe. The questionnaires are simply structured with various sections so as to maximize the return rates from respondents.

Some of the questions that the respondents will be required to fill in include: What is your opinion of the EU transport policy? What effect do you think you’re the policy will have on the member nations of the EU? How is the policy going to improve or damage businesses in the region? Personal interviews were also used to collect data among a few selected people to find out their understanding of color psychology. The interviews were open-ended interview with structured questions that guided me throughout the interview process.

Among some of the questions that will be asked to interviewees include; How do you understand the concept of having a transport policy for the EU? To what extent do you think the policy will improve people’s lives in the EU? How important is transport infrastructure in the business sector across the EU?? Data Analysis The data collected was carefully analyzed so as to develop a more reliable report with significant findings. Data collected was qualitative and will require qualitative methods of data collection.

The stages of data analysis were data cleaning, sorting the data, analyzing the quality of the data, initial analysis and the final analysis report. The questionnaires were well analyzed during the data cleaning process to determine which questions were fully responded to and if the respondents filled in the right details. The interviews were also be analyzed to only remain with relevant information for this research. After the cleaning the data, the fine data was sort out in terms of the quality of the information contained in them with regard to this research.

After conducting an initial analysis and the final report was made. Bibliography Ionescu, R., PhD. 2012, "European Union Transport Policy under the Crisis Impact", International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences, vol. 2, no. 8, pp. 39-60.
