Training Package Abstract The paper will look at establishing a well detailed training program where all the various facets that are involved when training people about how to prepare and brew a cup of perfect coffee will be discussed (Mintzberg H 1994). The training program that will be developed will discuss all the various details that are required, such as the optimum time period, the materials that will be required, the various steps that have to be completed by the trainees, and other such details. The process of training is one of the most important practices that are undertaken by the professionals to ensure that the performance of the human resources can be developed and they can be trained to carry out certain tasks in a well organized manner. Objective The training package that has been developed in the following paper looks into developing the skill of preparation of coffee by individuals. The session plan that will be followed while conducting the training session will be developed as well as the lesson plan which will be adopted by the training program will be developed and established (Dixon S E A, Meyer K E, Day M, 2010). The objective of the training program which will be developed has been enumerated below. The main objective of the training program is to ensure that the people are trained in acquiring the culinary and practical skill of coffee brewing and preparation. The program also looks at ensuring that a well informed and organized training session is established. Another objective of the program is to help break down the various steps that have to be adopted when training the people Finally the program looks at ensuring at the various risks that are undertaken when acquiring a practical skill, especially a culinary one, is minimized so that the entire session can be carried out in a effective and safe manner. These are the various objectives that the package aims at fulfilling. Details of the training package The training package that has been developed is inclusive of an hour of training session, where the people who participate will be instructed upon the various steps that have to be followed when one is preparing coffee. The location of the training session will be in a room which is equipped with the necessary tools for the facilitation of the session, which is inclusive of facilities such as sufficient lighting, air vent, gas as this would be required for the preparation and the brewing of the coffee. When one is deciding on the location there are certain points that have to be kept in mind when deciding upon the location of the lessons that will be carried out for the training process. The location needs to have proper ventilation and air conditioning. As already mentioned, it also needs to have facilities such as proper lighting as well as gas stations so that the preparation of coffee can be carried out in an organized manner (Kenneth D 2001). The location also needs to be equipped with toilets so that the people who come for training can avail of the facilities as and when required. The location should also be big enough to accommodate the trainers as well as the people who are participating in the training session in a comfortable manner and also provide them the space to work, as the training session will be inclusive of the people preparing the coffee. The place will also need to have access to running water and sound plumbing system so that the work area can be kept in a clean manner. Equipment required for the training session by each person Whenever there is undertaken a training session there is a number of equipment that has to be availed of in order to ensure that the training session can be carried out in an effective manner. the skill that is going to be developed through the training session is the culinary skill of preparation of brewing of coffee, which has to be taught to the people. This training session would thus require a certain amount of equipment to facilitate the conduction of the session. The equipment that would be required by all individuals includes: A table or a board where the instructions during the training session will be listed. Tables and stools which would be the basic infrastructure that the room would require. The room will also have air vents which will have to be used during the cooking process of the training session The training session would also require 250 grams of sugar as well as 250 grams for the coffee so that it can be brewed. The facilitation of the session would also require kettle which would be utilized for boiling the water For the sake of serving there would be required coffee mug There would also be required tea spoon for serving There would be required 250 ml of milk for those who need it There would be required a small kettle for serving the milk with the brewed coffee It would also require a teaspoon to facilitate stirring For the sake of cleaning there would be required rubbish bins, cloth for wiping and dustpans. These are the various materials that have to be availed during the training session so as to ensure that the lesson is carried out in an effective manner. Instructions for preparation of Coffee Take water in a kettle and put it on the gas to boil and wait. Then measure out a teaspoon of coffee and pour it into the coffee mug, and add sugar according to the taste Once the water has come to a boil, then add the water to the coffee mug containing the measured coffee and sugar Stir till completely dissolved Serve with the milk, so that if anyone requires it, then can add as per their taste. Ensure that the working station is cleaned with the help of the wiping cloth, and all the extra materials can be disposed off into the rubbish bin (Coffee Brewing, Online) Special Instructions When one is conducting a training session there has to be ensured that there are certain things that are focused upon. The main centre from which the instructions will be issued has to be at the centre which has to be visible from all parts of the room. Each work station has to be so divided that three to four people can easily work on it together. There has to space for mobility and it has to ensured that there is space provided for the trainers to circulate and give out individual instructions as required by the individual groups. It also has to be ensured that all the participants are appropriately dressed in long sleeved clothes and are all wearing an apron. To ensure that the security measures are met there has to be ensured that there is a fire extinguisher kept in handy in case of any breakouts. Introduction The main objective of such procedures is to ensure development of the capabilities of the human beings to effectively meet the requirements of their life in whatever the task that is being undertaken and effectively communicate to them the various steps that have to be undertaken top master a skill. In the following paper there shall be a developed a detailed training package that can be adopted by any professional who is teaching people the skill of coffee preparation. The paper that has been developed will thus be an effective example that can be used to conduct training programs for teaching the practical skill of preparation of coffee to people so that they can lead a more informed life which is based in discipline and help them achieve the skill to be functional in the culinary section of society. Assessment This is the process that allow for the trainer to conduct the entire session and then assess the amount that the volunteers have learnt through the process. The session would be an hour long, during which the entire procedure of teaching and instructing will be carried out. The lesson will be informative as well as practical. Conclusion This is the overall training program which is inclusive of the lesson as well as the training session that can be adopted and executed when conducting a training package teaching people the culinary skill of brewing coffee.
