I would liketo be remembered for doing social work in my community, for example, helping the poor and less fortunate children and taking care of people in some sort of social or psychological stress. I am fortunate to open my eyes in a family which is financially stable and has good status in society. “It is not enough to just look at these people who are lacking in all these facilities” (Thompson, 2011, p. 1). I want to use my financial background in helping those who are unable to meet their needs.

I know the importance of money in the life of a person. I know that without money it is impossible to fulfill basic needs of life. Therefore, I want to do something for those who do not have enough resources to enjoy life properly. We should not make others feel guilty, rather we should help them (Verdicchio, 2006). I have plans of forming a non-profit organization where the basic motive should be help poor and needy people in meeting their needs of daily life. “A well planned program needs to be charted out to help the poor and the needy people” (Jha, 2008. p. 1).

Some of the activities of the organization should include arranging free schooling or the children of poor people, arranging clothes for children, and providing free food to poor people (Sultan, 2011). I want to be remembered for something that should also inspire other people. That is why I have planned to do social work because it is the best way to improve the living standard of poor people, as well as to inspire other people. I want to see less fortunate children enjoying their life as others.

For example, I want to see them going to fast food restaurants to have a nice meal. Similarly, I want to see them playing in the parks where only such people can go who can afford the tickets for playing games. Moreover, I want to see poor children studying in the same schools where the children of financially stable parents study. All of this can happen only when there is a financial support for poor children. My organization will provide such support to poor children. The organization will collect funds and charity from different sources to use it for fulfilling the needs of poor people.

There will be a proper management system which will ensure transparent use of money by the organization. Along with forming a non-profit organization to help poor people and children, I also aim to do some work for people facing psychological and social stress. I have the aim to open a stress relief centre where poor people in stress will be provided free of cost counseling. There will be therapists and psychologists in the centre who will inquire from people the reasons of their stress and will provide relevant treatment to them.

The therapists and psychologists will include volunteers who will also have the aim to serve the people in need. Summing it up, I want to be remembered for doing social work in my community where the aim will be to serve poor and deprived people in fulfilling the basic needs of life.
