Lecturer: Use of Steroids should not be allowed This paper uses a deductive reasoning. The purpose of this memo is to inform you about the facts on the use of steroids. I will explain the different type of formats I will be using and the reason why I felt those particular formats are the best choices. The introduction I used is background. I used because it helps my audience understand my steroids before engaging on further discussions. My thesis statement is. “Steroids have benefits that increase energy levels, enhance sexual libido and boost personal confidence owing to the muscular body formation.
However, they have negative effects that that outweigh the benefits include bad breath, infertility, loss of sleep, loss of hair, and a higher risk of contracting cancer. These side-effects notwithstanding, the use of steroids continues even among teenagers. ” I chose it because I set the tone of the essay and tell them what to expect in the essay. Also I felt that the information that is provided within the essay will give the audience some valuable information important for their own use. My essay is an argumentative essay where I argue that steroids should not be allowed for physical fitness training.
I used the argumentative essay because I needed to tell my audience facts about the use of steroids in physical fitness and take a firm stance based on those facts. The conclusion I used is a summary conclusion. I used this conclusion because I felt it important to restate significant information about steroids that should discourage the audience from using them for exercise.
