Annotated Bibliography Gay Marriage as a Religious and Legal Right: Religious Adoption of Same Sex Marriages in The United States.Thesis: Proponents of gay marriage are yet to fully explore the discrimination by some religious bodies embodied in policies that accommodate this sectarian practice. Adam presents a perspective where any woman and man who is ready to go into family through marriage have every right within their means to found a family. This includes the right to the gay partners to do so. A majority of religious institutions in the world have demonized this norm as unacceptable, offensive, and more so, it is considered as a violation of religious freedom if gay marriage is accepted as it is seen considered sinful.

The couple later went to court seeking recognition of their marriage by the state. The court then instituted the right to same sex marriages and hence gay marriage was no longer treated as illegal within the U.S. states.
