Although the provision of cost-effective services is one of the objectives of the agency, this has not yet been upheld as the cost of getting the services remains high. Currently, the major activity in the agency is to conduct thorough research in order to come up with modern strategies for curing and preventing diseases (Hospital Corporation of America, 2012).

One of the major initiatives projected is training nurses and other medical personnel on how to make use of the current technology in treating and taking care of patients. This move is expected to affect the mortality rate in the country. In addition, the use of technology will reduce manual work an aspect that will have a positive impact on reducing the cost of offering health services both in public and private health agencies. One of the major negative consequences of the move is that the use of the current technology will replace a lot of employees an aspect that will increase the level of unemployment in the country.
