The difference between globalization and global health is that globalization is about industrialization and country development while global health explains diseases and various illnesses in different countries around the world.

Behavior Change Communication theory is an approach used to improve a specific health problem example participatory approaches.

The difference between the harm reduction approach and the generative approach is that harm reduction focus on specific behavior, which poses the greatest public health treat example reducing of HIV transmission among the youth, while in the short term, not addressing other behaviors the person may engage in that are also risky or unhealthy while generative approach assumes that a very important human process is to make meaning out of what we do example pursuing and maintain a gender role.

The context should be a concern when trying to understand and addressing high-risk behavior because it would help in identifying a specific group and finding the possible behavior that responds to a certain health risk.

  • Be able to describe the impact, process, and outcome evaluations and an example of how to collect data for each type of evaluation.

Impact evaluation explains the immediate change after intervention and data in this type of evaluation is collected through pre and post data collection. Process evaluation is where the components of the intervention are implemented as planned. Data collection can be through interviews and observation. Outcome evaluation answers the question of if the intervention affected the overall issue and the ultimate target. The method of data collection is by longer-term, pre, and post data.

Developing and creating a logical model involves linking what you plan to do with its expected impacts and outcomes.

  • What is an evaluation method? Provide an example of an evaluation method design.

Evaluation methods are tools that help you make a case for the efficacy or lack of efficiency of an intervention. Examples of an evaluation method designs are the bench making and the classic experimental design.

Confounds are unplanned occurrences that may affect intervention and interfere with a claim that only the intervention caused a particular change. Qualitative data is an intervention measured using the degree of their importance. Quantitative data are measure using numbers and digits.

Health disparities are the difference between health status the majority population and population subgroups. Ethnic/racial disparities are an important issue because it determines the kind of health care and the levels that a particular population health group should get.

Causes of health disparities include a combination of vulnerability, social-economic circumstances, and inadequate systems.

  • What is it meant by cultural competency?

Cultural competency is knowing one's culture and beliefs that make them less vulnerable to health risks.

Addressing health disparity can be through a multilevel approach where various programs and strategies are used together to address disparities at multiple levels.
