"The Clinical Environment" is a good example of a paper on the health system.
The clinical environment in which I have been working is a hospital. The primary outlet for learning for the undergraduate level medical students is without any doubt, the clinical environment where the student gets nurtured for the field and professional training takes place that makes the orientation of the future doctor and nurse. The success of clinical learning lies in massive interaction with patients of all types and adjusting to any environment as soon as possible. These highly demanding challenging can often cause some problems. The most important of them are stress, anxiety, and lack of rapid adjustment in the changing environments.

The clinical environments often have their own rules of learning, interaction with patients, and timings for clinical rotations. The students cannot always react to these charging environments because there has not been massive training before it. The inadequate behaviors, lack of interaction, and irregular timings cause huge deficiencies among the students. The clinical environments are very much dependent upon the teacher and student interaction. The development of relationships between students and teachers is also a key for good socialization techniques to build good clinical environments. (Spencer, 2003)

Because clinical environments change very often, many students feel agitated because of new patients and their behaviors because they have to interact with them consistently. Interacting with each and every patient is very necessary to be in the profession for the students and that is the primary reason when students face problems. The patients are not always in their senses and there are different kinds of patients in every clinical environment ranging from heart patients to even mentally disable persons.

In 2007, there was a comprehensive study carried out by Gibbons which focused on the clinical environments and their problems.  It said that due to stress and anxiety, many students are unable to get their focus right on track and become a victim of many kinds of annoying behaviors which are the results of uncomfortable surroundings. In the workplace, most of the students felt disturbed rather than supported by the staff and administration of clinical environments. They were of the view that teachers did not understand their problems and rather put more pressure on the students that are new. The stress of more work can cause serious sleep disorders among the new doctors as well. (Mlek, 2011)

The educational deficits of these stressful routines can cause the shaking of self-confidence of the students and they think that they are not capable of what they should. They fall victim to many problems and interpersonal dilemmas.

The solution lies in the change of behavior of teachers and administrative staff. The clinical rotations must not be scheduled very often rather a certain group of students must be placed in one clinical environment for a longer period of time so that they can adjust and deliver the best to the patients. In this way, the patients will also not feel agitated with every time changing faces. The rotations should have a gap of transformation period where the students can get the time of new environment learning and adjustments.
