Study 1:

The study by Long, Mareno, Shabo, and Wilson (2011), entitled Overweight and obesity among White, Black, and Mexican American children: Implications for when to intervene undertakes an in-depth analysis of the factors such as race, age, gender, etc. to affect children weight. The participants of the study or the core sample were the children from the age of 6 years to 11 years. The researchers have been able to find out that the effects of these factors were surely evident on the children but the fact remains that these factors had implications on the weight of children with different intensity. For instance, age was considered as the factor affecting obesity while race can be termed as the second most affecting factor. This study can be utilized in the form of statistical background to the intervention for children who are being measured for bad health results. The student-centered intervention that has been discussed in the research is that the children need to be dealt with these issues since their early years at elementary school that will help them get away with the issues of obesity and overweight (Long, Mareno, Shabo, & Wilson, 2012).

Study 2:

Obesity in children and teenagers is the study by Darwish has helped in understanding the challenges that the NHS can face by 2050 with the measure of about 20 % of children becoming obese. The study has been conducted with the help of a ten-point strategy to evaluate the literature review.  The literature has been able to indicate that despite the increased operations and spending budget on the obese children's intervention, the measure prediction of these children increases in next twenty years leaving us uncertain about the future. The children associated intervention aims to target children and teenagers alike to make sure that they are not causing higher costs for NHS by becoming obese. The research can be appointed for the purpose of designing further intervention by careful analysis of the literature review (Darweish, 2012).

The research has been able to find out that chronic diseases and mental issues have been noted to be common among children who become affected by obesity. It is said that children are more likely to become affected in terms of antenatal. The research can be used in order to understand the social effects on the children. It should be noted that this research can be found as a very helpful source of reference in backing up the intervention for preschool children. The research claims that the intervention must incorporate the lifestyle of approaches family by nurses and midwives in order to find out the critical factors that might put children at risk of obesity (Water, 2011).
