"Justification of Health Education" is a good example of a paper on wellness and lifestyle. Health education is a relatively new profession growing at a very fast rate. People pursuing this profession are taught various issues in different health areas. The discipline covers among other environmental health, physical health, spiritual health, as well as social health among many more areas. Scholars in this profession take time to design, evaluate, and implement health policies as well as resources that include materials allocating to improving the health of families, individuals, and communities. Discipline is an important gadget in promoting health. The course enables learners to acquire more knowledge regarding their bodies. It begins at middle school where pupils learn about their body parts. Health education programs in schools and other higher learning institutions constitute essential strategies that any country can rely on to prevent social and major health problems. Schools only come second to homes and families in offering the guidelines and experiences that prepare individuals from tender ages in taking their responsibilities in their future capacities as mature, healthy, and productive adults.

Health education is important for learning institutions because it plays a pivotal role in shaping the health behaviors of learners and in the process the entire society. Throughout the learning education, the institutions are crucial settings for implementing public health policies and programs (the United States, 1998). Taking the census carried out in nineteen ninety-nine in the United States, for instance, ninety-nine percent of children aged between seven and thirteen were in school while those between thirteen and seventeen years had a nineteen ninety-six percent enrollment rate. This explains why relevant interventions in learning institutions encourage education, promote appropriate health practices, and minimize destructive behavior. Schools and families benefit from health education in the sense that health and success in academics are intertwined.

There is a great relationship between health, diet, and wellness. Diet refers to what people consume while health is the state of the mind and body of a human being. On the other hand, wellness constitutes the feelings of a person and health practitioners always use the same terminology while assessing the state of a patient. An individual reduces the risk of many diseases when he or she is on a well-managed diet (Robertson, 2010). The dietician brings various essential elements to the discipline of health education. In addition to nutrition, a dietician adds nutritional aspects, health aspects, as well as emotional perspectives. The health of any individual depends on the three facets brought by a dietician. A dietician links the three aspects of health to make sure that they work together symbiotically. If not controlled, the working of the three deteriorates the health of a person. This is what makes the role of a dietician relevant in the community under the health education programs. Health behaviors are essential in the efforts of the community to reduce medical costs. This is because the efforts reduce the probability of people falling ill.

Major goals of health education are important drivers of the same profession. First, the profession aims at improving health. This happens through all stages of the life of an individual. Health educators handle people across the ages and in all settings. Furthermore, health educators are important agents in assisting people to make essential health decisions in their lives. Since its inception, health education works towards eliminating life-threatening diseases. The health education profession helps in increasing awareness on health matters through the provision of resources.
