Factors such as nervousness, blurred speech and poor eye contact with the audience can reduce the efficiency of the communication skills. Group skills help technicians in the sharing of information and knowledge on the main roles of the practitioners. Since training depends on various factors, the technicians acquire different levels of skills and the communication skills aid in the transfer of knowledge. However, the communication skills should also contribute to sensitive information from patients and ensure that the information is not shared with the wrong personnel. Observation skills The skills should be utilized in the observation of patients or subjects that are being diagnosed. One should be accurate in the observation process through auditory and tactile information principles. Fine attention to details should be made since the research includes the incorporation of chemical and biological factors (learnorg). The skills should also be utilized in the laboratory where visual ability helps in the recording of data from chemical and biological reactions. It is considered as one of the most important skills since most diagnosis depends on the accuracy of the collected data. For example, one should be accurate in reading results from reactions in the sophisticated instruments since the data may be used to come up with new medicines or vaccines (Hodson, Maleeka and Angela 237). Talents One of the personal talents that will help me in the job description is long-term remembrance. It will facilitate my remembrance during my studies and help in the passing of various examinations. Notably, the writing should analyze the laboratory results and also include countermeasures for a defined disease. Notably, the writing should also be simplified to ensure that all groups are can comprehend the analysis. Moreover, persuasive writing should also be incorporated by a technician to make the audience understand the nature of the laboratory results. However, persuasive writing should be considered in situations where laboratory tests have been confirmed through information sharing since it includes persuading the audience that the results are true and may present treatment. The writing procedure can also be used in studies and research to explain the presented question and ensure persuasion to the instructor. There are various qualities of writing that may be used as a reference point for a specific kind of writing. The job is demanding and requires all the attention of the technician since it deals with life and death matters (Goldstein and Nina). For example, one of the roles is to set blood samples that are to be examined. The samples may be from various patients suffering from different diseases. As a result, the technician will have to have proper documentation of the samples to avoid any mix-up. The demanding qualities require that the technician should be free from any stress that in most cases include family matters. Responsibility The technician is responsible for all the researches on different diseases in the laboratory. A misdiagnosis may lead to the death of a patient; hence, leading to legal implications. Additionally, he/she should be responsible for the automated instruments in the laboratory since most of them are expense and need adequate care. There are also cases where the technician will have to undergo research of deadly diseases without contracting them. Such situations will lead to extra care and responsibility to prevent contraction and spread of the disease. There are different set levels of safety that accompany various disease to reduce the possibility of contracting such lethal diseases. For example, in the diagnosis of diseases such as Ebola and Swine Flu, a laboratory technician is exposed to high risks contracting the disease; hence, should take the necessary precautions. 4. Ethical issues that professionals in the field might of medical lab technicians that have to be addressed and the time when the issues arise in the required tasks Balancing care quality and efficacy while observing anonymity There have been various debates about the quality of care being issued to patients during their treatment procedure. Consequently, the issue has become ethical where technicians must adopt care while dealing with a patient. Additionally, they should also emphasize the anonymity of the patient during the research in the laboratories. There have been cases where patient data has been leaked to the media; hence, causing other complications. The issues may arise when dealing with patients that are famous and celebrities whereby the media want to obtain first-hand information on their health. Such ethical issues have to be addressed by medical laboratory technicians such as me and my colleagues. Building sustainable healthcare for the future Technician should carry out researches to ensure that the changing trends and mutations of bacteria and viruses have been addressed for future needs. Issues such as chronic and lethal diseases have to be addressed to reduce their occurrences in the future (Kolata). The tasks arise when there are cases of epidemics such as Ebola in West Africa. Technicians have to study the disease and come up with vaccines. Allocating donor organs There has been an increment in the number of organ transplant in the health sector that has created a high demand that may not be satisfied in the future. The ethical issue has affected technicians due to their role in testing the compatibility of these organs (Staatz and Tett 1360). The age also affects the roles of the technicians where old individuals are considered to be more experienced. Religion has also determined the number of technician in a certain society. Some religions do not support medical research due to its connection with life and death situations. Finally, international relations affect the nature of the roles due to legal issues in different countries. Conclusion My duty as a medical laboratory technician will gauge my skills, talents and dedication to the allocated duties. Addressing the ethical issues will be part of the expectations in the career choice to make sure that the future generation has been catered for in terms of medicine and research. Finally, exercising the duties to the expected limits will assist in my experience in the medical technician field (Tanja). Works Cited Davidson, Elizabeth, and Mike Chiasson.
