Dual Diagnosis and Dual diagnosis Effective Care Planning Sebastian needs an efficient and effective care which is very vital in nursing care planning process and documentation of work. Tools are needed to support the progress and efficient shared understanding of Sebastian history that helps in interdisciplinary and communication (Mandeville 2012). Decision making by nurses in nursing care delivery plays a very important role in future care and plan of the patients. Interdisciplinary, communication and decision making are very important tools which ensure that, life of Sebastian is safe by quality care made by health care workers care plan (Strauss and Corbin 1997). The purpose of documentation and record keeping is to account for legal requirements, accountability of work, financial billing and accreditation. Effective Treatment Effective Treatment address both substance abuse and mental heal problem and share decisions involved in goals setting and developing strategies for a change. Sebastian depression is the leading cause to disability in relation to his age. The absence of work due to depression is in excess in every year in United Kingdom. The methods used need a follow up set of the guidelines based upon the effective practice by nursing research. On the same, Sebastian needs spiritual intervention on the development of the sense meaning and purpose of the current experience. This involves Sebastian to listen to people story about connection to God by using meditation or prayer depending on religious experience and spiritually (Fisher 2005). Along with the psychosocial interventions, it emphasizes on the importance of engagement with the spiritual interventions and more caring during his time of crisis (Segal 2012). Sebastian case according to spiritual intervention is based on the qualitative research about the similarities with the humanistic approach to the psychosocial problems. Sebastian care planning need the relationship of therapeutic aspects of psychiatric nursing to maintain a positive impact with the patients in a clinical setting. The important elements of mental health care revolve around the interpersonal relationships and interactions between the professional and patients (Norman & Ryrie 2009).Caring for Sebastian in her case demands the intensified presence and strong supportive desire. Providing Support Successful therapeutic relationships between the clinician, nurses and Sebastian need to have a positive support with many active responses (Stephenson 2012). Reading newspapers together and sharing dinner which improves the quality of the support in Sebastian’s case. Physical support may involve touch by placing hand on the shoulder. This contributes connection feelings from him and nurses (Smith 2012). Mental health nurses have the element of a working relationship as comforting through holding his hand. Sebastian depression describes a relief when the psychiatric nurse embraces him. Physical touch intended to comfort and console Sebastian in willingness to embrace the sensations and share the mutual feelings with psychiatric nurses (Norman & Ryrie 2009). Norman & Ryrie (2009) believes that being there and being available is a very important idea in intervention and treatment of mental health problems. In order to make Sebastian feel more comfortable the care providers make them more available and therefore more openness to multiple levels of personal connections (Henry 2008). Personal connection has the ability to uplift Sebastian spirits and secure confidentiality. Effective planning care for Sebastian needs the assessment of early intervention of effective initiation treatment. Use of specialist teams provides care for him in a very serious and potential manner. They tend to have clear referral criteria and well defined priorities of the operational policies. Nursing skills deliver the best practice care to Sebastacian problem (Norman & Ryrie 2009). The best Treatment for dual diagnosis in Sebastian involves an integrated approach whereby both substances abuse problem and the mental disorders are treated simultaneously (Birchwood & Jackson). The recovery depends on treating both addiction and mental health problem where there is hope recovering which takes time, commitment and a lot of courage. Commitment treatment in Sebastian case is the best chance of recovery through integrated treatment for both abuse problem and mental health problem.
