Extract of sample "Developing an Evaluating Plan"

"Developing an Evaluating Plan" is a great example of a paper on care. Certain solutions have been proposed in earlier modules about dealing with the stress factor that experience by nurses along with other various healthcare professionals in the workplace. However, it is quite vital to mention that only implementation of the solutions might not be enough to ensure favorable outcomes for dealing with the prevailing issue i.e. stress, especially in the healthcare workplace. Contextually, evaluation concerning post-implementation of the solutions will be a vital prospect (Francisco & Berkowitz, 2013; Green & South, 2006).

Methods to Use for Evaluation

Evaluation of the effectiveness of any particular solution involves adopting several key methods and approaches. The methods that are to be included in evaluating the implemented solutions in stress management of nursing in the workplace will comprise a particular survey aiming to understand the attitudes and the contributions of the nurses and other staff relating to healthcare. Furthermore, the methods of evaluation will also include analyzing the turnover rates of the employees prior to and after the exploitation of the solutions. Additionally, the methods of implementation will also include surveys related to patient discharge prior to and after the execution of the offered solutions. All these mentioned methods will further ensure a noteworthy comparison between pre and post-implementation scenarios of the solutions in order to comprehend the effectiveness of the same in the healthcare workplace (University of Phoenix, 2013; National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, n.d.).

Variables to be Assessed

The process of evaluating the proposed or implemented solutions will also include the assessment of certain specific variables that will be directly aligned with the methods considered for the evaluation. A few of the variables that would be considered comprise analyzing the attitudes along with the perceptions of the staff and determining the rate of nursing staff turnover among the prime. It can be affirmed that analysis of these variables will ensure the effective execution of the methods considered (University of Phoenix, 2013).

Tools to Educate Participants

Preparing participants for the survey is quite a vital prospect which largely impacts the overall result of the survey. A few of the vital tools such as PowerPoint presentations and sample questionnaires will act as vital means to educate the target participants relating to the survey. Through a PowerPoint presentation, the target participants will be acquainted with the significance of the survey. Correspondingly, the sample questionnaire will work towards educating the target participants about the way they are going to take partake in the survey. The questionnaire will also teach them about the type of questions that they are going to answer in the survey (Liao, Guo, Savoy & Salvendy, 2010; Kim, 2004).

Assessment Tools to Evaluate Project Outcome

There are certain specific approaches that are widely implemented in assessing the outcomes of surveys. In this regard, a few of the tools of assessment will include preliminary data review, data quality assessment (DQA), reviewing the quality control along with the quality assurance of the report, graphical representation of data, and calculating statistical quantities among others. All these tools will be accompanied by the conclusion regarding the result of the survey which will further ensure fulfillment of the objective of the survey i.e. to ensure the effectiveness of stress management solutions (EPA, 2009).
