The importance of quality policies affiliation The importance of quality policies Any form of organization needs to have an effective quality policy. In modern organizations, specific departments are set aside to see the abiding of the quality policy. Additionally, these departments seek more effective quality operation strategies. According to Walburg (2006) consumers play the major role in ensuring that organizations have quality policies. With the global market increasing with competitors, it is advisable for an organization to keep up with the quality demands of the consumer in order to maintain a competitive advantage.

Quality policies cover both provision and selling of products and the provision of services. A perspective on the two maintains the organization’s profit making strategy. On an employee point of view, quality policies play important role in their day to day duty of provision of services. Employees in companies with effective quality policies have confidence in the activities (Walburg, 2006). This is because they are sure that the consumers will be satisfied with their services. Additionally, it boosts their morale of working since they have an assurance that fewer complaints will be filed against them.

This makes them more determined to face each and every work day. Quality policies also shape the ethics of the employees. In any profession, ethics must be adhered to. In medical care, quality policies instill theses ethics in the mode of conduct of employees. Quality policies have specific conditions which must be adhered to. This enables employees grow professionally and gain ethics that are required. Walburg (2006) claims that if a medical institution is dealing with vague medical supplies, the problem faced will be directly pointed to the medical care givers.

Due to this, quality policies ensure that employees are protected from possible law suits. This ensures that employees have the quality to question and reject any medical supply that may be of poor quality. Apart from provision of services, quality policies also cater for the welfare of the employees. They medical well being is catered for incase of any accident in line of duty (Walburg, 2006). Consumers point of view on quality determines the whether an organization is using effective quality policies.

Consumers exposed to proper quality medical care, save money on the long term. When treated by the best medical supplies and serviced by the best quality of practitioners, the chances of succumbing to similar ailments is at less risk. This creates the urge of seeking quality medical care a necessity (Walburg, 2006). Organization’s wit very effective quality policies expose their consumers with the least risk of possible death or health hazards. For instance, a medical practice with vague medical supplies and employees with no ethics whatsoever are in a position of exposing a patient to a very fatal health accident or even death.

As much as quality policies are aimed at securing customers, the employees’ involvement in the policy making should not be undermined. Consumers are only seeking to save money and get the best services from organizations. Employees on the other hand seek for professional growth and confidence in them from the consumers they offer their services to. In words by Walburg (2006) an effective quality policy has positive effects on both the output of the employees and the input returns by the consumers.
