The main aim of this business is manufacturing, buying and selling of laboratory equipment and chemicals. The models provide the guideline through which the process of manufacturing, buying and selling of laboratory equipment takes place. eBusiness Model E-business model for the plan comprises of four main components namely, value proposition, e-business concept, sources of revenue, and resources, activities and capabilities. These components provide the organization with a functional structure, ways of provision of goods and services, ways of generating revenue and creation of new markets. The model provides guidance for the implementation of e-business proposal. e-Business Model Objectives of the Business Objectives comprises of what an organization aims at achieving at a future date. The aims of this business plan include; To strategically locate the factory and the business stores To create a database on the various users of the laboratory equipment and chemicals To understand customers’ needs To create distribution channels to facilitate local and national delivery To source various resources that will be used to manufacture laboratory equipment and chemicals To identify and cost effectively produce the most demanded laboratory equipment and chemicals To increase the manufacturing efficiency To establish a brand name To increase customer satisfaction from better products without any delays in delivery To improve efficiency and utilization by reducing the bottlenecks for quality and quantity control To make web contents work well on the mobile devices. This will enable customers to access the website more easily and everywhere they are. Marketing Marketing is the process of communicating the value of a product or services to the customers, with an aim of promoting or increasing sales of the product or service (Digital business, 2015). To promote our products and website, our website have a design which is more attractive, for example by professional designing, providing sufficient information on the website, having a clean design and making sure the site is easily navigated. In addition, there is market segmentation to ensure the business initially concentrates on the highly profitable markets. Target Market The target market for the business is those interested in laboratory equipment and chemicals in order to do various experiments or research. Typically, for this business the target market will be research organizations, high schools, colleges and universities. Place The business location is at (insert the name of the preferred place). The business is a mortar and brick since interaction with customers is vital for its success. In addition, the business embraces click and deliver. Selection of the location was due to; Accessibility to raw materials required for the manufacture of laboratory equipment and chemicals. The infrastructure is also a key factor that determines the business location, for example, accessibility of roads and modern telecommunication services. The strengths of this business plan are; The business will be able to hire expertise to facilitate in manufacturing, marketing and sales of its products and services. The business will be able to have an online interaction with its customer. This helps in enhancing business-customer relations and hence enables the business to improve service delivery. Weaknesses Weaknesses comprises of the attributes of the business that would negatively influence achievement of the business goals and objectives. Therefore the weaknesses of this plan may include; The business requires hiring of expertise to help in manufacturing of the laboratory equipment and chemicals. The cost of hiring could therefore prove to be high. In addition, the business does not have enough established assets that are in line with this business plan. Therefore, it will require the establishment of assets and supply chains before the initial sales could take place. All these process will require high capital investment that might not be at disposal currently. Opportunities Opportunities comprises of the external conditions that will help the business in achieving its objectives more effectively (Digital business, 2015). Opportunities that will arise from this business plan may include; After the establishment of the business, more opportunities will arise. This is due to; expansion of the market, improved supplies, reduced operation costs in the end and improved consumer awareness of the business existence. The business takes advantage of the current cost effective manufacturing technologies. This will ensure the business produces equipment and chemicals that are affordable and can effectively compete in the market. More opportunities will also be realized as a result of the establishment of highly reliable suppliers and distributors of the business products. These in turn enhance the delivery process. Threats Threats comprises of the external factors or conditions that may negatively influence the performance of the business (Digital business, 2015). The threats for the performance of this business may be in relation to, security, threats from hackers, confidentiality, authenticity, data integrity, and privacy. These risks are minimized using anti-virus software in order to protect the networks and ensure the information sent and received in the system is free from viruses. In addition, the business uses digital certificates in order to help in identifying the owners of various documents. Competition analysis Competition analysis involves assessing of the strengths and weaknesses of the current and potential competitors (Digital business, 2015). These competitors are threat to our business since they have several strengths that have helped them to survive in the market for long. These include, financial availability, market share, resource availability, and wide range of products and services offered. This business takes advantage of this by concentrating on the market segments, or the ignored markets since most of the competitors concentrate on the large markets that are more financially attractive. In addition, more emphasis is on advertisements in order to help create customer awareness and in the process increase sales. Legal factors Legal factors comprises of rules and regulations that helps in regulating business activities. In this business plan, the main legal issues that influence its daily operations include; Privacy and data security This business plan put in places all the security measures to help protect all the information in its website for example, data protection by use of anti-virus or data signatures. Consumer protection This business plan avails all the necessary information in the website for the access by the customers. The business adheres to all the rules and regulations that enhance consumer protection. Sales of goods act The business adheres to all sale of goods act to ensure its smooth operations and avoid fraudulent business. Accuracy and integration The business provide within its website accurate information with integrity. Government rule and regulations The business adheres to all the government rules and regulations in relations to product and service provisions, for example, licensing and taxation.
