The ground floor has 12 offices on one side of the main corridor while the analytical laboratory and equipment room facilities are on the other side of the main corridor. The offices are arranged in a way that there is a corridor between them with six offices on either side. On either side of the corridor end, there is a small storage facility. The corridor is partitioned into two half by a double door such that there is one door that leads to the main corridor for each partition. The offices are of four different sizes.

For those that are adjacent to the main corridor, four have a floor area of 8.5m2 and two having an area of 11m2. For the other remaining offices, two have a floor area of 14.5m2 and four have a floor area of 15m2. On the extreme end of the office's side, there are male and female WC and also the disabled WC. These facilities have a direct connection to the circulation area on the right end (southern) part of the building. The analytical laboratory has an area of 144m2 and 5 benches each with a sitting capacity of six people.

On the right side of the lab (north end) is a balance room adjacent to it is the XPS equipment room. There are 6 specialized equipment rooms that are located next to the analytical lab in a way that they are accessed through the lab. The six rooms are SEM equipment room, TEM equipment room, X-Ray, AFM+RAHMAM equipment room, ATOMIC ABSORPTION equipment room, and ICPMB equipment room. On the extreme end, the corner is the NMR suite whose floor area is 47m2. The analytical lab has an extension running adjacent to the NRM suite which is used as the preparation area where storage spaces are also available.

On both ends of the floor, there is a lift and entrance to the building through a circulation area located towards the other building. The lifts and the staircase are located on the other ends of the entrance points and the staircase is separated from the circulation area by a door.

On the southern area of the building there is also an entry to the building which is facing directly the main corridor. In this end there is also an escape root from the stairs. There is a ventilated store room which has a door directly linked to the main corridor. First level description On the first level the forensic and chemistry laboratory occupy the bulk of the floor (284m2). The laboratory has storage area and the bench balancing facilities. There is a door to the lift and the stairs and a disabled area is provided inside the stair case enclosure.

On the opposite side of the forensic and chemistry lab and separated by the main corridor there are offices and student research rooms. There are three risers lying along the laboratory and there are voids along the main corridor on the side of the offices and research rooms. On the extreme end of the offices and the research rooms side there are male and female WC and also the disabled WC just like in the ground floor. Six of the offices on the floor lie side by side to each other and have one of there walls is formed by the external wall facing the moudland building.

The six offices are accessed through a corridor with the office designated as RDS 2.9 having its door at one of the end of the corridor. The opposite side of the six offices are office designated RDS 2.7 on extreme left, next to it there is exit root connecting to the main corridor. The next room is the student research room which has its door direct linked to the main corridor. Adjacent to the student research room is a staff office which is accessed through the corridor serving the offices.

The is a partitioning of the corridor serving the offices through a double door. There is a ventilated store room which has a door directly linked to the main corridor. Level 2 description On this level there is the forensic science and chemistry lab at the which have the lift and stair case on its ends. The stairs case and lift are accessed through a door and there is a provision for the disabled. There is a preparation room adjacent to the lab which is accessed through the main corridor.

There is also washrooms for male and female and chemical storage room having the same size and have a similar location as that of the first floor. The main entrance is located on this floor on the northern sides. On the left of the main entrance there is a reception area. After the reception there is the visitors informal area and the other area which serve as both school office and visitors informal area with this space having a floor area of 115m2. The HoS office is accessed through the school office/ visitors informal area and has floor area of 21m2.

The kitchen and photocopier room have two main access doors one from the visitors main office and the other is the door that connects directly to the main corridor. The research student room is adjacent to the WC but is accessed from the main corridor through an entry that passes by the archive room. Level 3 description At this level on the side of the main corridor where there are lifts and stair case there is a fire lab for research and a fire lab for teaching. Just like on the other floors there is a washroom and ventilated store room which have equal size and are located at similar position as those on the other floors.

There is a connection door between the two labs. The fire lab for (teaching) has two doors connecting it to the main corridor while the fire lab (research) has one door to the main corridor. At the other end of the fire laboratory for teaching there are storage rooms, three of which are ventilated chemical stores. The two of the chemical store rooms have there doors linked directly to the main corridor. There is an entry from the main corridor which connects to the other ventilated store room and the ancillary fire labs store.

The ancillary fire labs have also another door that that links it to the fire lab for teaching. Opposite the fire labs on the other side of the main corridor the whole area is occupied by the material and synthetic lab which is served by two doors linking it to the main corridor.
