Environmentalism: Going Green Is Not Easy You know it’s time to ponder when you plan to go out for a picnic and cancel it because you realize there are hardly any trees to sit under, petite grass to sit upon, nix clean water to assemble aside, and firmly not an apt environment for opening that basket packed with food. This really does point towards what is called ‘environmental issue’, but alas! Many of us are still in a state of downright unawareness, when it comes to the environment. In my perspective if human beings are breathing in the environment, they owe it to a great deal of developmental exertion. As Foss’s belief can be apprehended that the good of the environment is called environmentalism, thus we can elucidate that the process of improving the conditions of environment and its conservation is called environmentalism. There is no doubt that with the passage of time, human beings are developing in all fields of life, due to changes like globalization, modernization, and all other departmental revolutions. The most important part that is brought forth, as these developments are mentioned, is the progression and advancement of the changes in the sector of environmentalism. This is due to the fact that all the changes that are being fetched affect the environment. But, it is a heartrending fact that the aspect of environmental development has not yet established itself completely with regard to the environmental advocacy groups, in achieving greater concentration throughout the world. Many a times the sustainability of these groups in the hometown of Qatar is questioned as provided in a report presented by the Oxford Business Group. The prime and the most pondered upon issue which is being spread like fire all around the social media is whether environmental problems are being considered and worked up upon or not. Different beliefs are held by different people; similarly various researches show various results regarding the increase or decrease of the environmental issues. Fridell holds the belief that people in today’s epoch are concerned more about environmental issues than they were ten years ago. Hajri et al verified the responsibility of the mining actions in the State of Qatar towards the creation of many environmental problems. Some perspectives have indicated that if people continue to live like they have been living until now the number of environmental issues will increase. But thanks to the environmental advocacy groups that are trying to play the role of improving the state of these issues. For example The MDG (Millennium Development Goals) Advocacy Group and the QNDS (Qatar National Development strategy) are amongst those organizations that are working for the betterment of the environmental status. The major issues that have cropped up regarding environmentalism in the past few years indicate climate changes, conservation, energy crisis, health issues, atmospheric pollution, intensive farming, nuclear issues, overpopulation, resource depletion and land pollution. These are some of the major problems that have taken place in the past few years with reference to environmentalism. These issues are playing the role of major hurdles for both the groups of environmental advocacy, as well as the environmental health specialists. Lopez et al. verified that the basic issue of loss control problems has lead towards these issues. It is now a common belief that the importance of controlling these issues is so essential that people have now started working collaboratively to work in a different yet affective manner, state Daniel and Walker. In accordance to the International Energy Agency, it has been comprehended that a serious change is needed in the spectrum of energy crisis and a strategic environmental movement is being planned in accordance to Putten. Some of the technical efforts that have been seen to have come in light with regards to the measures for the elimination of these environmental problems include: the adoption of risk-calculated actions and their clean-up strategies, developing remediation technologies that are cost-effective, and the availability of environmental insurance products. In accordance to the verification of the environmental forum, it is believed that the green politics has failed instead of strong notions. People are not able to implement what they think is effective and ideal for bringing a change in the environment. In accordance to the American Climate and Environmental Values Survey, it was identified that most of the philosophies with regard to the environmental issues are known as ‘Tea Party’ ideas as they are brought up, appreciated, and then failed to remember. With reference to the Nordhaus and Shellenberger, it was elucidated that the major problems of gas emissions that increase the atmospheric pollution can be overcome by efforts, such as making sure that everyone is aware of the rules to maintain the stability of gas emissions, regulation of the provision of a stable investment environment, and an increase in the cost of fossil fuels that are more or less relative to cleaner energy sources. An alarming point that can be presented as advanced by Samuelsohn; is that about a half billion dollars were spent by donors who were wealthy to help those green groups that were force-feed climate legislation. Many of these changes that are now seen have been only possible due to the fact that people are now more aware about the arising problem than they were before. For the structuring of matters that involve further developmental efforts, we can take advantage of these developments. Thus, all in all, Rockstrom has evaluated and assessed that for the consideration of development in both the health groups and environmental advocacy groups, an entire new obligatory approach that sets pre conditions for us human beings is required. Through this approach, planetary boundaries can be set which will automatically link environmental development to human dispensation. Thus, it can be concluded that the relationship that is shared by the human beings and the environment is a reciprocal association.
