Name Course Tutor Date Order Disorder Energy has brought growth with it to the globe. The link between prosperity and energy cannot be separated and can now be used synonymous of each other. Modernization of the world in has led to discovery of diverse forms of energy which have made lives more productive, safer, healthier and even richer. This has been brought about by the concerted efforts of inventors such as Gottfried Leibniz, Denis Papin and Carnot whose ideas have come to be effected in the modern world. The ability for energy to be transformed from one form to the other has borne a very special importance since it has increased the usability, Energy conservation has been observed in harnessed and manipulated energy beyond the expectations of the humankind. More energy forms have come up with the advancement of technology and development of various energy sectors that have since been set up to counter shortages. Nikola Tesla in 1800s was able to come up with important findings that would have helped him come up with conclusions that electromagnetic energy that flows through the earth can be harnessed into usable energy. This declaration later saw the interference of the Schumann Resonance hence ending his need to explore further. Energy storage is also another important topic that has been explored by various scholars to expand the energy forms that are available for use e.g. chemical energy, mechanical energy (potential energy and kinetic energy) among others. Energy usage has been deployed into all fields that human has engaged into. Energy is harnessed through many processes such as the turbine discovered back in 1800s has been very vital in the improvement of human life. Nuclear energy form on the other side has become a very vital source of energy that humans have used since the early 19th century to the extent that it has created a deterioration in human living through catastrophes such as the Chernobyl disaster. Energy on the other side has been a very important lead to the economies around the world with those striking energy sources having the lead in terms of infrastructural developments. The security forms behind the energy revolution has seen development of bombs which are able to detonate and produce very high energy radiations. Electrical energy can also be used as to build barriers that are responsible of enhancing security. Apart from the security issue the concrete jungles around the world are not only powered by one form of energy (electricity), but several other forms such as hydraulic energy. Energy is described as the ability to produce a tangible change or observable transformation. The ability to produce transformations by use of is clearly important and further exploration of energy uses should be pursued. Apart from heat energy which was the first discovery, other forms of energy such as mechanical energy and chemical energy have been very important to the modern day civilization. Mechanical energy has been studied over years with its production being rediscovered through transformation of chemical energy and other forms of energy such as hydraulic energy to perform massive loads of jobs. The ability to manipulate energy makes it useful due to the convenient of availability and transportability. Energy that can be tapped can be made available for use i.e. if energy cannot be tapped then it is declared redundant to mankind. Energy is also rendered useful by the ability to control it through various approaches – energy without control is catastrophe in the making (Andersen). “If you could harness the living force it could give mankind unimaginable power”, is a phrase that was utilised by Gottfried Leibniz in his discovery of mechanics and the passive effects that ancient machines consisted. Leibniz saw this whole affair as only a ‘conceived science that needed to be exploded further in order to have active energy like explosions and so on. He also thought of fluid equilibrium in the same line reiterating the need to produce violent forces that would expend themselves. The postulation of equations of dynamics also took place during Leibniz period owing to the knowledge that had been developed on dynamics. In order to describe the force of an object moving in a horizontal path, he also showed how the product of mass and velocity would be used to achieve the total force. His goal was therefore to achieve the most violent actions from the forces that existed during his time for the purpose of advancing the conditions of materials that were being used by man. This was to bring about the industrial revolution among other developments that would change human’s way of life (Order disorder). Denis Papin’s discovery of heat energy transformation through control of highly compressed steam was a great achievement that would transform the way of life to infinity. In his discovery, he demonstrated how a cylinder with thick walls was capable of holding highly compressed steam for poverty alleviation purposes. His became a great march towards the discovery of the steam engine which was later to set the pace towards the discovery of the diesel engine as its replacement and many others that have resulted. The motivation behind his invention is that on erecting the system, he had two pumps that were connected through air tight pipes that resulted to movement of the water wheel. This new power was pneumatic – a fact which meant new developments in areas that were not well watered. He later came to propose the creation of piston/ cylinder engine that would be run with the use of expanding steam (Valenti). His discoveries were enacted to come up with the real energy that now drives the world with the invention of diesel and petrol driven engines and subsequent venture into electricity driven engines. This really transformed the world into infinity power reactions at any given moment without unnecessary dependence on stationary power as seen in the early ages. In his words, Carnot was so specific that steam engine was the driving power of the British Empire and taking it away would result to collapse of the this great monarchy. His writings uncovered the cosmic truth about the steam engine through the establishment of the new field of thermodynamics. His mastery in the field of steam power was well positioned to propel France to the next level of technological advancement. He came up with a 60 page analysis of how steam engines worked in a belief that this is the power that propelled the British Empire with a guise that taking it away from them would definitely lead to failure. The differential temperature increment in the heat engines is based on his arguments which later gave birth to thermodynamics and new way of thinking. He not only discovered the heat engines but also demonstrated how the deeper property of nature would be exploited for benefit of mankind (Order disorder). Rudolf Clausius covered a wider speculation that entropy of the entire universe was increasing towards a maximum and was at any point irreversible. The second law of thermodynamics came to actually be based on his findings which indicated that connected matter gave out heat in one way or the other. This was also described as part of the irreversible processes that were happening i.e. the process of increasing out or dispersing the entropy. Being a Victoria Scientist, Clausius made great leaps in thermodynamics through heat experiments that meant to demonstrate the use of heat energy in transforming the world. The concept of entropy eliminated doubts regarding the world’s destiny on the long run through analytical approaches (Order disorder). Works Cited Andersen, Brian David.
