Computer Sciences and Information Technology Tutor: Date: . Information technology is the usage of computers in engineering and telecommunications industry to transmit, store and retrieve information. Information Technology has played critical; roles in the medical health. Research, record keeping has enabled maximum utilization of the medical records for the benefit of the patients, government and the scholars (Card & Chandler, 2011). There are various factors that enable motivation and conveyance of information in the health care systems. Information technology has penetrated to all parts of the world enabling patients get medical attention in the right time. Health care providers are able to get useful information in a timely manner. Homes, work places and the health centres have been brought together by the internet through the World Wide Web (Janssen, 2011). This has made it possible for the health care providers to actively participate with the patients. Medical health records in the year two thousand and thirty will indicate a complex web of medical information. An example of medical health records is the Personal Health Records. This will enhance customized health services to the patients. Medical healths records are becoming online enabling patients seek medical attention over the web. Health workers are able to treat individuals over the internet. In the year two thousand and thirty, the period will constitute excellent and efficient services from the health facilities (Card & Chandler, 2011). Information Technology will enable patient’s access their health information and assist in health care management and decision making. This will enable the health facilities to drive personalized health care services. Records in two thousand and thirty will be digitalized enabling personalized health care services fast and available to the remote regions of the world. This will assist in eliminating diseases that pose risks to the human health. This will enable the health facilities drive developments and research on the health programs and infrastructures. Personal Health Records systems are expected to incorporate research works by scholars and enable advanced approaches to treatments of diseases. Preventive measures will be developed by proper systems in the medical health records by the year two thousand and thirty. Public Health Records are getting advanced with time (Friedman, 2010). Inclusion of communication resources and information technology by year two thousand and thirty will enable specific health care to the patients. This will be made possible by the linkage of the personal health records to the medical health records (Janssen, 2011). Medical Health Records are complex due to the large volumes of data involved. Health conditions vary with individuals and some diseases portray similar symptoms. This will make it difficult for the consumers to comprehend the exact running of the medical health records. People with little skills in computers will pose a danger in the interpretation of the health records (Marchionini et al., 2007). There is also a challenge that will be posed by the diseases with similar symptoms which limit interactions in the electronic data system. Medical health records in the year two thousand and thirty will be subject to user oriented systems. This will address the specific medical needs of individuals. This is essential in meeting the needs of the patients and consumers amicably. Public health records effectiveness will depend on the user interfaces and the systems in place (Card & Chandler, 2011). User interface will enable the application of numerous innovations in the medical information technology. Internet based user applications will be enhanced. Computers have systems that will allow many options at the click of the mouse. The systems will create consumer confidence with the medical health records (Janssen, 2011). Public Health Records systems require individuals to have computer knowledge, health information knowledge especially in medical terminologies and concepts and finally personal book keeping experience. This will enhance recalling, retrieving and storing health records in designated areas. Health care providers and health officials will be subject to medical management. This will enable accurate and reliable handling of medical health records. The records will have skyrocketed initiating the need of reliable systems. Computers will assist data handling in that they are accurate, fast and can store data over a long period of time. Medication done online by the health institutions and pharmacies will enable sharing of useful data from multiple locations all over the world (Card & Chandler, 2011). This will benefit the medical health records implementation. The age of the patients is major factor to consider in the medical health records. The screen complexity study indicated that most people of old age took a lot of time in comprehending the screen options on the computer (Janssen, 2011). They also took long to interpret simple instructions. Old people expressed frustration in the new systems. It is believed that in the year two thousand and thirty, there will be no challenges associated with computer illiteracy. Personal health information usage is a lifelong commitment. This will enable health officials trace the life history of individuals. It will allow better treatment and administration of medicines (Friedman, 2010). Records will be omnipresent due to digital preservations over years. It is expected that by the year two thousand and thirty, there will be more health issues hence the necessity of effectively maintained archives. It is believed that the public health records are complex because the human health is also complex and affected by different illnesses at the same time. Health care involves different people and they all have different perceptions on the similar challenges. It is identified that the health information is personal (Card & Chandler, 2011). This influences the behaviours and perceptions of the individuals. Public health care systems must be kept secure and free from the outside influences. Altering of data in a way that is not allowable is highly discouraged. It is expected that people will have expectations, experiences and different demands on the public health records (Marchionini et al.., 2007). There are impediments to health care information access in the year two thousand and thirty. The risk perception in wrong interpretations of the medical health records is evident. This will raise confusions and injury; due to wrong prescription administered (Friedman, 2010). This is tackled by training the stakeholders, health care officers and the public on the usage of the systems. It will avert the impediments in the medical health records. A research done on one hundred and six health care participants indicated that people had different perceptions on the reading and interpretations of the test results. This study indicates the need of averting the risk perception associated with the new systems by training the health officers on the application of the system. Communication breakdown is an impeding factor in the medical health records (Friedman, 2010). Communication relates to the activity of conveying information from one person to another. Medical health records will dictate a standard style of communication so that the health care providers and the patients must use one medical language to enable two way interpretations of data. This risk will be eliminated by the introduction of one language within the health care providers (Card & Chandler, 2011). It will enable uniform relay of information from different health care providers. Confidentiality is one of the most critical elements in the medical health records. This means that the information regarding individuals must be organized in a way that other people may not access with ease (Janssen, 2011). This suggests customised paths to the users of the computer programs. It is important to group the systems in socio economic status with incorporation of age, mental conditions and physical abilities. Confidentiality in the medical health records is essential to enable excellent workflows. Reference Card, C., & Chandler, B. (2011): Electronic medical records save money.
