Extract of sample "Effective Strategy in Managing Conflict"

There are different styles. According to the book ‘Anger and Conflict Management: Personal Handbook,’ there are three most effective styles: submissive, assertive, and aggressive.
Whichever style you may choose the strategies are more or less the same. One of the most effective strategies is ‘Learning who to Trust’ (Stacey Edmonson, Julie Combs, Sandra Harris, 2008). As Blattner said, “A person who trusts no one can’t be trusted.” (www.quotations.com). Therefore, if you learn to trust with discernment, it can be an important step in reducing conflicts. However, one strategy which I find ineffective at times is when we target a win-win situation. Often when trying to take a middle path one or both sides feel it is unjust.
To conclude, managing conflicts is extremely important in any organization. Read More
