The paper "Organizational Capacity for Change" is a perfect example of a management research paper. This research project takes a macro-level approach and utilizes a quantitative case study method to explore the status of the capacity of change in the government sector. First, the researcher will attempt to deconstruct the confusion around the definition and conceptualization of the concept of “organizational capacity for change” which is found in the existing literature. This would involve the development and proposal of a conceptual framework for this study in the field of organizational capacity for change, and any attempt to identify its various dimensions

Second, the research would underline the attributes which could lead to a dynamic capacity for change, by looking at dynamic capabilities, areas of significant strength and areas of improvement within the various government departments. Specifically, it will highlight aspects that may impact sustainable change capacity based on three primary attributes, namely: resources, learning and infrastructure. Literature review and empirical research will also be analysed critically in the second stage.

Thirdly, through statistical analysis, this research will look for a relationship between organizational capacity for change and organizational development by investigating trends over the past ten years. In addition, through a questionnaire, it will look at organizational performance results and explore by applying multivariate analysis, the correlation and regression between the two variables and the subsequent attributes of capacity for change.

Fourthly, the researcher will present a discussion and reflection on the status of capacity for change in the Government of Dubai, looking at what effects, if any, this change capacity has had on existing capabilities, or on the development of new ones.

The researcher will develop a framework for understanding the status of capacity for change as it is manifested in the Government of Dubai.
