It is manifested in three ways including emotional management, task management and role management. Effective self management is an important skill area in life that involves managing self and significant others. Self management is a continuous learnt art that help a person eventually make the best in leadership. There are various skills of self-management including decision making, problem solving, resource utilization, action planning, self-tailoring and formation of a provider partnership. The process follows a process, that constitute a cycle of identification of a problem, evaluation of skills, forming rules and norms, execution and application, production and conclusion. When this reaches to the end, the whole processes can be repeated as life is dynamic and so are its processes. Self-management is very much applicable in training, a significant role of psychologists. Self-management approaches can be applied in vocational development and everyday work-related behaviour. Goals setting and pursuit strategies such as action strategies and volitional ones are critically linked with self-management. This enable other people alter their behaviour and assume more relevant and critical skills in life reformation and conduct. Most of self-management training is given to patient, provided in pamphlets for individual application as life skills. Human resource managers are involved with human asset part of the organization. They develop them through workshops, seminars and training by use of online platform, external consultants and group interactions. The core skills that relate to self-management after such trainings include time management, conflict resolution and psychological capabilities in decision making (Tziner, Haccoun & Kadish, (2011). Goal setting and pursuit are founded on self-management. Through it people are able to clarify their personal goals. This avoids getting appealed to the order of the day and chat a new course. The different aspect of life and goals should complement one another, for instance the business and personal goals. It is therefore possible to make life work in harmony through modifying and re-orienting others areas to support that which is significant (Robinson, 2011). This details the extents of activities, amount of resource needed and the time schedule that require discipline. Throughout the process of conception, planning, execution, monitoring, completion and evaluation of these goals, self-management allows dynamism, flexibility and self adjustment to suit with probable conditions for the best outcome and success. In organizational management, project leaders demonstrate self-management by the way they work with dynamic groups, carry-out dynamic activities, manage changes and affect it. Through their mediation and actions, they are able to prevent adverse consequences in the outcome. Creative way of solving problems is possible with those people who face the facts and truth of an event. This reduces denial and avoidance to encourage awareness, recognition and creating mechanisms to deal with such problems in an effective manner. When a person accepts the conditions they are able to change them by identifying the relevant mechanisms. An important one is assuming the roles of coaching and giving feedback to empower others realize their full potential. According to Schermerhorn & Schermerhorn, (2011), self- management influences individual or group possessions. This is achieved by giving relevance to various things with different or interrelated outcomes. It is therefore, important to reduce some favourable to the current state and apply important others favourable to the future. This promotes the strategies and great insights taken toward that future or a goal. A prominent factor in self-management is time. In time there lies great potential for making changes. The way a person spend the time can be demonstrated by breaking a typical day into smaller slots. It allows assess how effective one is to apply every available opportunity for the greater good. To a greater extent, this reflects on the ability of a person to effective transformational and transactional roles. Effective self-management enables a person develop moral purpose. This is achieved by treating every person fairly. If such a person is a leader, they the group becomes a one functional unit. Effective self-management promotes open communication and enhanced communication skills. A vital role of precision, clarity and timely feedback can be possible with continuous self-management. This is because, as practical roles are applied such a person is able to learn, and reflect on personal and group emotions and responses. Transactional demonstrates some inner strength which enhances performance in tasks. Such a person is thrilled and psyched to deliver both quantity and quality. On the other hand, transformation, not only works on personal effectiveness, but also enables others to become through continuous improving them. Self-management allows conscious life where a person takes time to plan and act differently. This follows a working it out by continuous undertaking of personal adjustments, mediated change through structure, institutions for enabling or professional groups. It is not revolutionary processes, and the gained mechanism is constantly and slowly applied to achieve short-term and long-term goals. This is achieved through taking charge of self and the roles of life by choosing a direction that allow one meet both the personal and professional goals. Evidence of effectiveness in self-management is demonstrated through personal conduct, co-workers and acquaintances management and in occupational fields. A person assumes fast interventions through possible and available mechanism. Self-efficacy is a mechanism through which the interventions work. Effective goals and ethical decision making can be demonstrated by a person who is capable to self-manage. This is because; most of life and day-to-day decision are taken fast. One must evaluate his/her own capacities, abilities and skills and consequently do to others to become efficient. Since life is a process of knowledge development, it is expected that the various interactions are taken as an opportunity to learn. This allows other to participate in knowledge building and the resulting interactions among the group provide important information for effectiveness. This becomes a cycle where influencing skills are given and taken to develop understanding and develop. Self-management enables application of ethics and moral values. This is demonstrated as professionalism; integrity, accountability and feasibility. The values reflected are as a result of firm decision making and applying it in actions. Human has the tendency of taking after other people’s thought, words and actions. This lowers the degree and potential efforts in effective participation. Consumption, mostly in the media has become a collective process which harnesses collective intelligence. This affects perception management and therefore, self-management. By trusting one person that appears an expert and experienced lead to common reasoning among people. However different viewpoints and identity are only retained through self-management. This enables a person to acknowledge and deal with conflicting arguments in relatively mature manner. In its application, self-management has been necessary particularly for youth to avoid succumbing to peer-pressure. Words or speech is a mode through which principles and knowledge are memorialized and disseminated. There are terms that entail self-management such as self-concept and self-care. These are also foundational stones in self-management structure. The concepts of self, self-care and management are vital in the process (Omisakin & Ncama, 2011). Such skills can influence individuals and groups, particularly during conflict management. It is expected, mostly in an organizational setting, that conflict situations should make the best and allow effective ways to forge ahead. This is achieved through advocacy, patience, emotional management and analytical skills as well. It is possible to bring the extreme groups together through empathy and mediation. This is possible by key self-management skills. To understand and work with diverse others, depends on listening, persuasion, and negotiation skills that employ self-control, interpretation and provision of concrete issue-specific mechanisms to effect changes. Self-management is self to a larger extent and less on others. A person get above the order of the day, renounce some activities and suite accordingly. One is firmer on self than on others. This is by trying to do things in the positive opposite direction and against the current. This is demonstrated through dieting, self-control, limiting partying and avoidance of time wastage. The others may be enjoying all these, but a person chooses to a conduct well fitting the goals and outcomes. This makes such people more confident, develop efficiency in problem solving, decision making and planning for change. It is however, an active process, which does not count on previous success, but takes every moment, resource and opportunities as a stage of making a difference. The continuous nature of self-management results from experiences and a person natural history in it. The long life experience is enabled through personal analysis, social relationships and recounting on processes. This follows the experiences, acceptance, adaptation and the move toward self-management. It follows life experiences, interactions with professionals, and trial and error. The most important aspect of self-management is self. This enables self-determination, development of strong problem solving skills and abilities, social support and other collaborative relationships as aided coping and adaptation. This evolves in the course of life and identified programs help people develop earlier in life. The vivid interactions, social relationships help in overcoming barriers and emotions associated with self-management. However, there are facilitators and inhibitors of self-management. Effective Self-Management The previous action plan did more than just evaluating my common behaviours, but also helped to develop the mechanism and adjust to be effective. There are seven areas in which the outcomes have been demonstrated and are considerably measurable as significant achievement. A comparison of the pre and post mannerism and conduct reveals a relatively successful self-efficacy. These are described accordingly, by showing the outcomes in the current. These have greatly demonstrated learning and practical skills achievements. The actual outcomes of changes in skill and management levels are portrayed in an evaluative way to mark these achievements. Last semester and most of my school life, I have always found it hard to concentrate on an issue for more that fifteen minutes. My mind had been adjusted for the general things and then gets some time afterward to develop that thought. Those activities like class attendance, group work, revising and personal reading time exceeding half-an-hour have been torturous, and I have to sit to be polite, fulfil a duty or others people’s expectations. The process has not been easy, particularly at the beginning. This has entailed both application of positive mental attitude and positive actions to help me get on with living my life the way I want to, try to make the differences between last year studies. The first step was to carry a small notebook with daily schedules and setting alarms on my phone to alert me to start another task. However, I was only alerted when I had been already doing things out the expected task. Recently, I have assumed a way whereby, each task is broken into three to four parts and use different tools to deliver it. It has been possible to break from unintended things that I assign their time later. To make an effective balance, I delineate the extent to surf the Internet and interrelated media by jotting down important things I intend to look for on a notebook. To defend my habits, I used to craft an explanation to myself and others which, in truth was unsatisfactory. I had a tendency of being late for group discussions, late submission of assignments and postponement of activities for the sake of insignificant others. I learnt that I am not capable of facing the facts, the truth and issue as they are. This was accelerated by setting average goals that required less time, resource and potential to get them through. This gave me a console to accept average marks in class tests and examination. I also drafted booklets to include the most possible examinable topics, developing a tendency where I forgot almost 80% of whatever I learn in any unit. I never ever visited a book or information after it was examined. This tendency grew out of reasoning that the newspapers, articles, contents and digital enabled features could as well promote the development of my knowledge and skills in line to my career. I have applied self-management skills in setting higher goals. This has included, raised percentage of unit performance, compiling an in-depth understanding of topic for group discussion and created online network where we chat every 30 minutes with a friend about a chosen academic topic. I have managed to effectively do things far from the expected deadlines. The habit of not taking the consequences of my habits led me to blame others. I had always a scapegoat, a person and issue to blame for any mistake or unexpected outcome. So many are they, name it from traffic, weather, sickness and implicating things that were not. To most of my friend I argued that the text was not timely sent, the information was not clearly given and the meeting point was not an objective. Any important event in school, at home or for the public was enough for my rescheduling, failure to respond and timely meet personal, group and other responsibilities. To completely convince others, I used the support of friendly members, perhaps similar in character to consent with my side of the story. I noted that most people were outright when I blamed them for my mistakes, and others found me burdensome when working on a task together. Through self-management, I reasoned on the reasons behind it than I developed a concept. I had always chosen to work with less serious people whose expectations are not so high. Now I assume the centre roles such as group leadership, communicating and class presentation. I also call others to remind them of what they are expected to do for a group task. I have developed a self-management skill of being honest with myself. Sometime past I rarely admitted what my conscience alerted, warned and directed me to do, particularly against my likes. So I turned it off, but it kept on being loud inside. This led to frustration and growing fears, mostly when time is demanding on an issue. To be kind to myself, I talk it loud, write it on a piece of paper and apply the decision making skills and action planning to forge the way out and forward. In case of a possible unavoidable bad outcome, which would be unchanged by applying fewer inputs, I let it have its course and prepare in advance to face its consequences, mostly by denial. However, I now apply a systematic solution and do the best I can to change it and appreciate my efforts no matter how little they were. This is for instance when I miss an important friend function or late for an event. I give a reasonable excuse and promise that in future I can do all I can to do it better. I have also learnt to portray who I am, my inner feelings, viewpoint on a debate and becoming assertive on my choices. I have taken criticism as part of life taking other people comment as a great effort of trying to help me. I have been able to critically analyze an issue not to be a slave of trend, reasoning and impulses.  I am a great user of social media networks. Most of the platforms comments, ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’ are to real to argue ones way. So in most cases I have easily taken the way of the mass. However, though there are many sentiments on this, it has been possible and when necessary to stick with simple, tried, tested and true methods then working on them like my dear methods. I argue prepared to reason, not to convince others to take my side, but to see sense on my side of thought. This has developed my criticality, evaluation and response mechanisms. I have learned to do extensive research before I give a feedback, write a comment or answer a critical question. A great outcome of self-management has been self control in the haste of response. I have leant that when all people are brainstormed they tend to think and reason from a lay man’s viewpoint, but given time they all agree on a critical answer which they would not have settled for it if given instantly. So I take time to think, not only to respond but to shape my understanding and related actions. By being firmer with myself, I have also expected the same from everyone else I am interacting with. However, I have noted that, the way I set my goals and objectives is very different with other people. That means that they see and realize their points in their outcomes. When others do not make it up to my expectations, I admit that perhaps what I expected was more conceptual that concrete at that time. I have realized the important role of complementing one another. Since we are different and unique in many ways, approaches and undertakings, I have learned to see potential in every one by applying a holistic outlook of an individual. These I have developed after I recapped on self-confrontation which left me feel worse, and then I realized it does the same with the others. As much I do bother the others, it is to a certain extent and realizing the constraints imposed on every individual to hinder 100% performance. This viewpoint has allowed me to realize what I can do, do it better and effectively and what I cannot. I have improved in self-management and thus I can stand on my strengths and communicate on my weaknesses without fear of embarrassment. I had the tendency of placing other as boss and thus lead me and others in every area of life. I have realized that I can place myself on leadership roles and actions more than I do others. This is by being an example, and demonstrating whatever capability I have, incorporating the support of others. This in my coursework has enabled me lead others in using most of the above self-management skills and actions that are bearing fruits as much to them.
