This approach therefore outlines that the firm has focused upon utilizing its core competencies while at the same time leveraged its success through strong focus on consumer choices and customize technology according to customer preferences. 2) Wii is here to stay because it has been continuously upgraded and updated for wider variety of customers.

Fads often appeal to a limited segment of the market whereas Wii has been focused upon delivering value for customers who were even not the hardcore customers in the industry. By technologically advancing it and ensuring complete user involvement; Wii has developed itself into a device which can deliver value for the customers.
