I have worked as the Lead Medical Technician, Third Marine Division from 2004-2006. My job as the Lead Medical Technician was to make sure whether the marines and sailors get immunizations in a timely and orderly fashion, to take care of the health of marines and sailors, to train marines in providing medical aid, and to maintain the accuracy of dental records of marines and sailors.

It was my job to come up with effective ways to get the job done in a fast and accurate manner. During the job, I maintained the medical records for over twelve hundred marines and sailors, trained a large number of marines in providing instant care, managed hearing conservation program for over twelve hundred marines and sailors, monitored and maintained the dental records of over 260 Marines and sailors, and improved the dental readiness from 80% to 99%. Looking at these achievements, I consider it my best work experience as it helped me utilize my human care quality to improve the medical condition of hundreds of marines and sailors.

Part - b From this course, I would like to obtain the skills necessary to improve my fathers’ appliance repair business. I would like to contribute to my father’s business by providing an effective and efficient service to the customers. I would like to be able to improve the quality of the business by reducing the time a customer waits to get his/her appliance repaired. I believe that excellent customer service is the key to success for any business because it earns the business a large number of customers, as well as helps it retain the existing ones.

I think I can achieve my goals using the technology and concepts that my professor has taught me in this course. I can also achieve my goals by streamlining the process that starts from where the customer makes a call at my father’s office to when the technician (my father) gets the order and does his job. Summing it up, I want to assist my father as much as I can in order to expand his business.
