The paper "Is Good Communication in the Workplace Important and Why? " is a good example of an essay on business. Communication is the purposive exchange of information through imparting opinions and thoughts by writing, speech or signs. Good communication is vital in any workplace because the employees manage to pass the required information to the management that enables a good decision-making process. Good communication should be both verbal and nonverbal where the employees or employer should express themselves in an understandable manner. This is because good communication skills go beyond productive conservations, and for that reason employees should know how to communicate effectively through written emails and reports (Cheesebro, Linda & Francisco 67).

Good communication skills are important for the organization because the employees manage to develop a strong workforce and they become productive as they are able to express themselves to the vendors, consumers, and investors among others. Additionally, good communication skills are important in the workplace because they help in ensuring workplace diversity. In that, when there are good communication skills in the organization it helps in reducing barriers that are erected because of cultural and language barriers (Wrench 45).

Thus, the organization should conduct training sessions for both domestic and international employees in order to reap the benefits of good communication. This is because good communication skill causes the workplace to have increased productivity, reductions of errors and smothering running of operations. Good communication skills in the workplace provide job satisfaction; hence, employee morale in the sense that in a workplace where there is easy ad open correspondence between the senior management and the subordinates there is less turnover (St & Pavel 90).

This is because if the working environment is conducive and friendly in that, there is good communication between the employer and employee and they share ideas on how to go about the business it makes the employees feel more motivated. Conversely, good communication helps in building trust and loyalty in the workplace, which in turn grows to greater job satisfaction. Good communication skills are imperative in the workplace because they help in team building. In the sense that, good communication allows the managers and employees to form highly effective teams that work towards achieving the goals and objectives of the organization (McIntosh, Richard & Jeffery 72).

By so doing, the employees are able to trust one another, as well as, the management. Moreover, with good communication employees in the workplace reduce unnecessary competition within their departments that at times leads to conflicts and for that reason, they allow the employees to work harmoniously. Through teamwork and good communication skills, the manager reduces hostility and fosters positive relationships among the employees. Lastly, good communication skills are important because they allow proper management and utilization of the organization's resources.

This is because in the case where there is no effective communication there tends to be problems and conflicts and crises come about between the employees, which in turn causes unnecessary delays and wastage of resources; hence, lower productivity (Barker 40). For that reason, in case there are good communication skills in the workplace such issues are avoided and the organization becomes productive. In conclusion, it is vital for the organization to ensure that they have good communication skills. The organization can train its employees on how to have effective communication skills to enable them to have a workplace that is productive and accommodating for both the consumers and employees.

By so doing, the organization will run without any conflicts or problems.
