Google’ s technological superiority, in which it was first founded, is its core capability in the engineering department. This technological superiority is essential in the production of new processes and products. Google is the leading search engine on the internet. It has a high speed, reliable, simple to use and user friendly. It is the best-known search engine among the public, making the marketing process easy. It provides numerous products ranging from hardware, web products, Mobile products and desktop products (Spil & Klein, 2014 p.
2018). Capability 2 Financial The financial capability of Google is as a result of increased sales. Being able to generate internal funds and external capital through increased sales leads has been a capability that has enabled Google to grow faster (Jarvis, 2011 p. 234). Capability 3 Reputation Google is well known for products and processes that are of high quality and serve their purposes well. The organization is also well known for being a good employer, by offering its employees an environment of communism, innovation and fun.
Google Inc is renowned for being a socially responsible organization that minds about the community and the environment (Steiber & Alä nge 2013 p. 243). Capability 4 Human Google understands that employee satisfaction is the key to increased productivity and innovativeness. In this regard, the company treats employees in special ways that have mostly been referred to as unconventional. The employees are encouraged to be innovative (Dawkes & Holloway, 2013 p. 688). The organization has a flat organizational structure; therefore, there is very little control. Capability 5 Organizational Google’ s organizational culture is envisioned on communism. While the company is focused on financial performance, it also emphasizes on employee satisfaction.
By creating a sense of purpose and belonging in its workers, Google has experienced continued growth and advancement in the world of technology. The business understanding and smart management by the executives have made the company achieve the rank of one of the most profitable firms in the United States and abroad. Capability 6 Innovation Google offers an environment that is supportive of new ideas. The atmosphere helps employees to learn from each other’ s ideas and methods, adapt them to their own situations and increase their levels of innovation (Dawkes & Holloway, 2013 p.
688).
