Health and Fitness Health is defined as the state of physical, mental, social and psychological normalcy of an individual. Fitness on the other hand refers to the state of being physically health. Absence or disturbance of these conditions in a person implies that one has disease or body malfunction. Health and fitness is one of the most important aspects of the life of human beings. It is common knowledge that individuals who keep healthy and fit are free of disease and have longer life expectancies as compared to those who do not mind their health (Landro, 2010). Health and fitness are interrelated aspects since fitness leads to a healthy body, and health encompasses fitness. Unhealthy lifestyle is a common phenomenon in the contemporary world; hence, various healthy quarters are coming up with campaigns and efforts that can bring about change (Steffens, 2007). Individuals are easily changed about their health approaches through campaigns and urging them to do so in written media such as books and journals. These sites are the best because they are common in the contemporary world; hence, people have access to them almost daily. Through reading such sources, individuals are likely to be touched concerning health issues. This paper analyses the correlation between health and fitness as discussed in various peer reviewed academic sources. People taking part in regular exercise have a reduced risk of developing diseases and unhealthy conditions then people who do not take part in exercise. a) C, Simmons.
