The paper "Special offer of New Milk-A Product" is an outstanding example of a business assignment.   Listening according to the University of Canberra (2012, p. 63) is not accidental; instead, it is focused and purposeful. For this reason, it needs both effort and motivation. People utilise different styles of listening, depends on their purpose as well as preferences. Appreciative Listening: The people listen purposefully to sounds they appreciate. It can be used to so many situations or people, but the audience cares more about the speaker’ s overall impression rather than the presentation. Empathic Listening: It is a way of responding and listening to another person which consequently leads to the improvement of trust as well as mutual understanding.

Advantages include reduced tensions, ability to build respect and trusts, allows the audience to release their emotions, and creates an encouraging environment that facilitates collaborative problem-solving. The disadvantage is that the listener has to listen to learn and also try to become empathetic. Selective Listening: The listener is somewhat biased in what they are listening, and it is an indication of a failing. The advantage is the listener selects what he/she wants to hear while the disadvantage is that it is biased. Critical Listening: The objective is to scrutinise or evaluate what the speaker is saying.

One of its advantages includes the ability of the learner to align what they hear with what they already believe or know.   The disadvantage of this style of listening is that the audience must listen critically to gain knowledge of what is being communicated. A13 Psychological noise negatively influences communications since it impairs the message reception. Furthermore, it affects effective communication by impacting the ability of the mind to understand as well as interpret the communicated  message.

Some of the strategies that I can use to reduce the effects of psychological  noise include: communicating the message repeatedly in order to facilitate the message reception as well as offer clarity to the audience and enable them to comprehend the underlying  message. Another strategy is communicating the message in environments where there is less psychological noise such as white space in the magazine  advertisements. Utilising teasers can help overcome the psychological noise problem and enable the communicator to gain an audience that is more attentive.

Other strategies include encouraging the audience to offer feedback and targeting the right audience for the message. A14 Referring to the text message in figure one, I cannot send that message to my lecturer because the language between us should be formal. The text is written in a colloquial language, which is an informal way of communicating but cannot be used in a formal situation. Using colloquial language in a text makes the message come out as a spoken conversation instead of a formal writing piece. Furthermore, it has a sense of casualness, which could change the tone and possibly generate a sense of connection with the student for the lecturer. When a lecture develops some expectations at the start of the school year for his/her students having resembling attributes, the lecture is inclined to have normatively low or high expectations for every student.

That is to say, the normative expectations regarding the communication between student and professor are more associated closely with their professor beliefs individual characteristics, as well as self-efficacy as compared to student characteristics. A professor whose normative expectations are high or low, he/she is inclined to promote student achievement and influence the adjusting instructional practice.

Professor with low expectation teachers can be helped to and optimise their strategies of teaching as well as generate their pedagogical beliefs.
